Absolutely doesn't stand on its own, only for fans who want more Lucien/Molly backstory.

Great story and amazingly read by Robbie Daymond. This extra look into Lucien's past was a great guide to his future misdeeds.

I found this to be a fascinating and fun look into the other side of the story. having watched the campaign, this gave such a heartbreaking view of Luciens struggle.

A beautiful look from the ‘villain’s’ point of view.

This novel is presented from the point of view of Lucian, and adds in the history which leads him to the climatic end of campaign 2 of Critical Role. The story is beautifully written, the narration perfect and the ending just as sweet as the show. Well worth the read and I hope to see more books from Critical Role in the future.
