Betrayal

I can’t believe Grace left Jackson and ended with up with Hudson. Hudson was in her head for all that time. Jackson didn’t even have a chance. Then within days she was with Hudson. I couldn’t believe my own ears. I think I might be a Jackson fan all the way I feel bad for him.

Obsessed

I LOVE this entire series. The storyline is addicting, the ROMANCE (ugh, swoon!!!), and who doesn't love witches, vampires, and all things mystical? Even though I want to ring Grace's neck half the time, I'm glad she finally came to her senses in the end (even though we are left with a cliffhanger)! I am sitting on the edge of my seat until February when Court comes out!!!

I really enjoyed this book. Also the narrators are great! I loved how Tracy made a little Dante inferno connection. I honestly haven’t read Dante but know if it. Now I want to read it.

54 years old and captivated

I LOVE a great fairy tale with dragons and the lot! Add in a castle - wouldn’t have expected it to be in Alaska but NICE touch, Ms. Wolff - and a queen here, a dragon heart there, romance, and a situation of torn between two lovers!?! Be still, my aching heart - I’m on Team Jackson. I can’t help myself. He was the first to show up - not on his best behavior at that - and THE EARTH QUAKED!!! Come on - THE EARTH QUAKED!!! What a MARVELOUS tale that gripped me on book 1 and has held me captivated through this book and I have 3 more to go. (I know - I’m late to the party but I’m old so cut me a break! The narrators do a fantastic job as well! And note to author - I’m glad you got away from “AF” used in book 1. It felt childish; it’s fiction - spell it out. There’s art in that there vulgarity! Just SUCH a fun series that has kept me on my toes or heels at all times. Best book of its kind since Stephen King’s “In the Eye of the Dragon.”

I cannot say I love this series enough. I am late to the game but man I am loving every bit of this series.

Secretly obsessed

I am proud that the author did attempt to have a few original ideas in this one!! (Tried anyways, still definitely stealing from other fantasy novels) anyways, you can’t help but fall in love with the characters you get to know and root for the kids in victory and love! This one was a little woke but I still very much enjoyed. Onto the next!

Great story…

Great story, characters, world building, etc. My ONLY annoyance is how very very descriptive and drawn out Grace gets when she is speaking inside her head about her feelings. I just have to fast forward through parts of her musings.
Otherwise it’s really good.

Aaaaaahhhhhh! This SHOULD be a 5 star audiobook…

…but for the love of all that’s holy WHY can’t the author write an action scene (or any scene) without injecting 5 minutes of redundant and/or nonessential inner dialogue between each excruciatingly small step in the action?

It’s seriously like having a person hold out a surprise in a box for you to take, only to yank it back every single time you barely scrape it with your fingertips - over and over again. Or like being in a car, excited about setting off for your destination, only to have the driver start slamming on the brakes every 15 seconds.

A little redundant and immature. Good story though. Horrible British accent and Cajun accent though 😂😂

I am 3 books into the sires, and I'm in love with the story line it keeps you guessing but then as you think it's going to go one way it totally surprise you this is a book that I can't put down and I can't wait to read the rest of the books.
