Amazing leadership support

This book touched on so much and was so helpful and clear on how to attack issues. The amount of notes I took brought me back to being in school. This is definitely a key instrument to keep in your leadership tool box.

break out of your comfy zone and be great

This was a great read. especially as I transition to a new job and I'm trying to climb a ladder into a place of leadership that advice and recommendations are solid. the narration was clean and easy on the ears. two thumbs up

A welcome “punch in the gut”

I have had the pleasure of knowing the author for many years, and this book reinforces the trust and respect I have for Phyllis.

No serious/self-aware leader will go through these pages without experiencing all the feelings on the spectrum spanning from “oh my God this is me/ what was I thinking?” to a “deep sigh of relief while realizing you may be on the right track after all.”

When I say a “welcome punch in the gut”, I mean let it hit you, feel it, lean into the questions and worries that will surface, as if you were just getting into that scary amusement park ride—The one you are terrified of but know you must experience so you can come out the other end with a true understanding of how fast and how long it really is, and how to actually feel about it.

One other thing…it was hard for me to just move on to the next chapter. I felt like I needed to listen again and again to what I had JUST heard, as if taken by an irrational fear it was not going to be right there for me to go back and reflect upon the things I felt and thought about the first time around. Yes, the content is THAT real and THAT relatable to our lives and experiences. I am absolutely positive you will feel that way. I’m excited to share this wonderfully simple to grasp source of knowledge with friends and colleagues alike.
