Josh and Sam meet at her coffee shop. Sam runs a shop Josh up the street from Omega that he used to meet up with Ghost for a mission. Josh was a Seal with some of the omega guys. Sam has her own trama and history that comes up during their story. I really enjoyed their storyline and the Narrator's Heather, Scott and Joe did an amazing job bringing Blade and his team to life. I can not wait to listen to Codename Cobra next!

A Powerful Story of Love and Redemption

Josh and Sam’s story is a perfect blend of suspense, romance, and healing. Josh, a former SEAL, has lost everything, while Sam, a survivor of a cult, struggles with her past. Their connection is raw and beautiful, as they help each other heal. The emotional depth, thrilling suspense, and well-developed characters kept me hooked. Heather Firth delivers an outstanding performance, capturing Sam’s pain and resilience. Scott Rider impressed me with distinct character voices, and Joe Arden’s cameo was a great touch. The narration brought every moment to life, making this an unforgettable listen. J.R. Tootill has crafted another great installment.

Awesome Story & Narration🎧Compelling & Heartfelt!

It is great to be back in J.R. Tootill fantastic “Omega” world again and spend time with some of my favorite characters, the incredible Omega security team members, former military and alphabet law enforcement, FBI and/or CIA. This third book of the series is Joshua “Josh” Bennett’s and Samantha “Sammi” York’s story and, like the first two books, the story not only captivates your attention the entire time, but tugs at your heartstrings too. We saw a glimpse into Josh’s backstory in the earlier books, when he was serving with Tuc and their last mission gone awry, ending their military career. Josh was struggling with his loss and pushed everyone away, including Tuc and his team members, who, in time, were told he was dead. It was all a charade, done for a reason, one that Josh could finally share with them, with hopes they would understand, welcome him back and forgive him once they hear why and what he had done. Once the shock wore off, both Skeet and Tuc were happy to see him and they wind up inviting him to join them in Omega. Josh never bounced back to his former self, never thought he would know true happiness again, but then he saw her, his angel. Sammi owned the local coffee shop, bought it from the former owners after working for the for several years. Sammi’s backstory is not an easy one, growing up in a commune, run by evil men, including her father, who did a number on her. It was her brothers who saved and freed her from that life, regretfully not getting to her sooner. Her trauma and ordeal left her broken, physically and mentally, though she does not remember much of what happened to her, except the aftermath. Not knowing what to make of Josh’s attraction to her, she sees herself broken, and he sees her otherwise. I thought those two were great together and for each other, uplifting and healing their broken souls. It was great to watch the Omega team welcome Sammi into their family and the girls take her under their wings for female empowerment. All was going well until their pasts come back to haunt them. I loved all the layers of this story and how it all played out with the perfect balance of drama, angst, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions, and a wonderful romance. Like the first two books, the writing, plot and world building are fantastic, as are the character growth and development. J.R. Tootill, thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧Heather Firth, Scott Rider, and a cameo by Joe Arden were the perfect cast to bring these characters to life and did so with a complete understanding of who they were portraying. I loved how they took their roles and owned them, sounding believable and just as I imagined the characters would sound. Heather Firth was a natural in her role as Sammi, grasping every aspect of her personality from her vulnerabilities to her strength, and grew along with her as her confidence increased. Scott Rider was just as fantastic as Josh, showcasing all sides of his personality and demeanor perfectly. Both were fabulous performing the roles of the side/secondary characters too. Joe Arden jumps in as Rourke, and nails it in his role. They set the right tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling each one. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to and their performance elevates the already amazing story to another level.

Loved this story so much for Josh and Sam…glad to experience Josh‘s story after living in the shadows with his fake death for years. With Sam‘s backstory clashing with the current timeline, Josh and Omega are up to bat again. I really enjoyed the spice in the story as well as the storyline itself. Josh was a mysterious character in the last couple books. It was nice to see it be his time to shine. I’m really enjoying this Omega series and it’s always nice to see the old characters as well And how their lives are developing. The narration by Scott and Heather was amazing and really brought these two characters off the pages, with a cameo from JA that was also solid.

This series just keeps getting better!

Codename Blade is book #3 in The Omega series. This is Josh/Blade and Sam/Angel's story and it is so much better than I could have ever imagined. It started out strong and did NOT let me go until the very end. Josh pushes everyone away while he spirals from his injuries as a Navy Seal and reconciles life with a prosthetic. Sam was rescued from a communal living environment, but not before the unthinkable happens (check TW before starting). He's broken with baggage, she's broken with baggage, but when their eyes meet across the counter...it's 🔥! This story was very emotional and the amount of healing and growth these two must achieve was heartbreaking and uplifting all at the same time. And the smexy scenes...just the cherry on top of this 5 star sundae!

The narration was probably the best I've listened to in quite a while. First off, Scott Rider...I really hope to have more of him in my ears because his voice and delivery is off the charts powerful. Heather Firth is a favorite of mine because she is, to me, the ultimate underdog that finds her superpower. And throw in a Joe Arden cameo...5 trifecta stars!!

Couldn’t get enough!

Codename Blade is book 3 in The Omega series by JR Tootill. JR continuously delivers with strong and resilient female characters. Each main character is complex and compelling, and you can’t help but fall in love with them. In fact, this series is starting to feel like family. Code name Blade follows Josh and Sam. Josh is an amputee, and Sam is fighting her own demons. Together they manage to heal from old wounds, physical and mental. With a great mixture of romance, spice and crime thriller, this book kept me enthralled.

I listened to the audiobook, which is performed in duet by Heather Firth and Scott Rider. There is also a cameo performance by Joe Arden. The character differentiation was superb. Heather and Scott did an amazing job at replicating the voice actors performances from the previous books. That was definitely a highlight for me. Their performances were emotionally gripping and definitely enhanced my enjoyment of the story. Joe never fails to impress.
