That was an awesome audiobook and the reason I love this genre!

I was so ready for this second book in this series after the last cliffhanger where Colton’s father is murdered, and now he has to step into his shoes in the empire that is left him.

Wow Sheridan Anne is brilliant at writing suspenseful books. This series is blowing my mind! The twists and turns, the eye opening secrets revealed just want me wanting more and right now!

Lessa Lamb is superb and her emotional acting of all of the characters really helped me get fully invested into hearing this book so much so I listened to it again. Your going to devour it if you listened to book 1 and your going to be biting your nails in search of the next book just like me!

Amazing series! If bully romance is your jam you need to get this series now!

Dark Romance Indeed

Just when things seemed to be looking up between Ocean and Colton, a drastic turn of events forces Colton to step into his father’s shoes, causing turmoil between the two once more. This series just keeps on getting better!

Found this amazing series while in the hospital and it was the perfect escape. Performance is awesome, Lessa Lamb rocks as a narrator and she truly brings Sheridan Anne's story to life. I fully recommend this series if you like the HS/Bully Enemies to Lovers with a side of Dark. TW/18+

Dark and twisty and soooo much smexier!!!

Aside from the last half hour or so of book 1 I would say Cocky F*ck is darker and far more intense. With the revelation of many hidden secrets, Ocean is forced to decide where her allegiance lies and what she is willing to give up. My suspension of disbelief was stretched quite a bit in a few key moments of this story, however I feel like I approach NA stories with a different set of criteria going into it giving a little more room for the characters to be less mature and logical in their thought processes. There was enough realistic drama, steaminess and fun twists that the story kept me going. Considering all the crazy situations in the first 2 books I'm not sure what's left for the author to pull in for books 3 & 4. Once again the narration was really well done. I'm enjoying the solo narration and feel like I'm following the characters well, so I'm curious to see how this changes in book 3 with the dual narration.

omg this series is just getting better as it goes, damn so many secrets, so much backstabbing, so much lies, poor Ocean, just when things start looking up some bad shit ends up happening. I so want things to go good for her. but it looks like everyone is keeping things from her or lying. I cant wait for the next book to come out. The narrator did an amazing job too. you guys will not be disappointed.

Roller coaster of unknowns

Sheridan and Lessa slayed it again. With its fast pace and twists & turns I was drawn in and couldnt stop listening! It was a roller coaster of unknowns and I sat on the edge of my seat with my hands up enjoying the ride!

This Series is so Addicting!!!

I could not wait to dive into book two after all the drama of book one and how it ended. This book delivered even more jaw-dropping moments with high levels of drama. This book begins after Colton's father is found murdered, so while Colton's focus is on running the family empire, Ocean is trying to piece together the murder. While trying to figure out those pieces, what seems like a never-ending amount of secrets are revealed, exposing a series of lies, betrayal and manipulation that leaves Ocean devastated and questioning everything she has ever known.

Colton and Ocean's relationship was a bit of a roller coaster, but I enjoyed the growth of their relationship throughout the course of this story. Their chemistry was definitely still there...tenfold.

I was sucked into this book just as much as the first book. The audiobook was absolutely fantastic. Lessa Lamb was phenomenal as Ocean, and even in doing the voices as the male characters. She is so easy to listen to and portrays so much emotion in her voice, which greatly enhanced the telling of the story. I cannot wait to continue with the story in book three! #PinkFlamingoProductions #TheFlock

And the intensity continues!

Book 2 has picked up right where Book 1 ended. It’s great to see how Colton and Ocean are growing closer and really becoming the power couple. The scenes have just enough spice to get you hot!
I find Ocean to be annoying many times though. She always talks about her boys and is very angry with their betrayal but I haven’t really seen her step up to them. She is very emotional and acts without thinking so I can see why Nic had to keep some secrets. In the end they have always had her back so she is exaggerating.
I prefer dual narration even though there is only 1 POV. But otherwise it was good.

What did I just listen to?? This series is 🔥🔥🔥

So I adored book 1's premise and the characters in it and I have to say I loved them even more in book 2, except some of them because of truths that finally came out (honestly I am more mad at the others, not Nic, because of their closeness to Ocean. Nic already cheated on her so I know her doesnt always make the best decisions/doesnt have Ocean's wellbeing at the forefront of his mind, but the others usually do). I have to say some things were a huge shock to me, some I knew were coming. I was so glad to see Ocean and Colton could finally get back on track, the earlier part of the book was tough to read with his grief and lashing out from his pain, as well as his rejection of Ocean after everything had happened. I loved their makeup though and how he was there for her and protective of her, even if they don't end up together in the long run (we all know they are endgame but that's besides the point haha). I am super nervous how Colton is going to react with his family back in his life, I hope Ocean and he don't backtrack again. There are so many parts of the story that need to be resolved and I hope time isn't spent on taking more steps back to be honest. Buuuut I will just need to wait for book 3 on audio to find out!

In terms of the characters. I loved the lightbulb moment for Colton, when he knew what Ocean was saying was right. So gut wrenching and heartbreaking (also with how lonely he has been and how he is drowning with the business stuff after his dad's murder). I felt bad for Charlie, he deserves a good person to call his lover/friend/etc., sometimes the good ones don't always get the girl (I am ok with it because Ocean and Colton are good for each other, but poor Charlie! I just want to hug him!). I hope we get more of Spencer, I loved some of his ad libs in here, but we didn't get to see much of him. I liked getting to know more of the girls at the other school, helps Ocean branch out and have people to distract her with the horrific things that happen towards the end of the story. I thought the inheritance part was hilarious and loved how Colton told his lawyers off haha. Made me snort while taking a walk (my neighbors probably think I am nuts haha). I will say I could see the reveal happening at the end coming, we knew a certain evil side character wasn't gone, and I doubted the Black Widows ended him because they would have talked about it with Ocean. I hope Ocean can have a friendship with some of the BWs after this, I don't think she and Nic can get back what they lost, especially with what he had to do after the showdown, his manhandling of her, and the huge secrets he was keeping. I know Nic becomes an even worse bad guy throughout this story but I love him already, not sure if I will see him as a truly bad guy at all.

In terms of narration, thought Lessa did a great job with most of the voices, but the reason I couldn't give her a 5 star was because of the screeching she was doing with the yelling parts. It sounded like she was trying to yell but be quiet about it, so it came off as weird on the recording. It happened throughout the audiobook which took me out of the story a couple times. Other than that, easy 4 star review from me! I felt her heartbreak, her inner turmoil, the tension between her and all her friends and Colton. Good performance, looking forward to listening to more of this series and more from Lessa Lamb overall ❤️
