a lot more crude than the first book

the second installment is excellent storywise. with great powers comes greater risks! you got to see some character development that was needed from the first book. it was fun to be able to expand the in universe. Just when I thought I knew what was going to happen Justin changed it up!

the only reason for 4 stars is this installment has a lot more crude language and serial innuendos that were out of place and sometimes out of character for Justin.

however I cannot wait for the third installment!

Cool concept and stupidity gets punished

Pretty good. Overpowered MC balanced with average intellect. Good story weaving and details in the first book are further built on to fix the plot holes. Good listen overall.

Review

This is one of the most underrated series I’ve ever listened to. A unique concept. Looking forward to the next installment.

Fine but doing too much

It felt like the author had a bunch of great ideas for both characters and situations but was unclear how to piece them into a cohesive narrative.

Great follow up to the first book

I wasn't really sure after the first book, but enjoyed the second one quitea bit. and will definitely continue the series. I would say it's more of R PG light which I prefer. I still like the mechanics of what they're doing without detail, ad nauseum

the massive amounts of racism turned me off this series

the fact that he is having to play nice with racists and the word/rhetoric used made me not be able to finish this book and I will not be reading anymore of this series

I can't believe all the racism, the first book had slight undertones of it but this one is full blown racing
