I know - these books can be predictable. The wonderful characters make up for that. I often find that the lovely characters, setting, and even the predictability to be soothing and comforting. And a story that gives warm fuzzies helps, too!

Such a cute story with delightful characters. Great setting, fun twists and turns and a couple surprises...and a very satisfying ending.

Holiday Trip Back to Mure

I love Jenny Colgan books for when I want something, sweet, humorous & sentimental too. O Christmas at the Island Hotel gives us a trip back to the Scottish island of Mure & all of its inhabitants & it was a pleasure to visit with Flora & her family & friends. The narration was fabulous & it had me smiling & tearing up—a delightful holiday treat.

Really enjoyed reading this book and I’m going book to listen to the earlier books in this Mure Island series. Love her descriptions of far off places - takes me right there.
