Resumen del Editor

History obsessed gamer Matt Bailey has always dreamed of commanding his own Roman Legion. Now he can. The newest VRMMORPG Gods & Kings is the closest thing to a time machine he’ll ever get.

With the powers of his Warrior Priest class, Matt must build his army, level his followers and discover new battle formations that will help him defeat his enemies and become a true Roman general.

More victories means more glory and more men - so Matt must use all his knowledge of history to give his fighters the edge in battle, as well as buffing his troops with ancient magic and even summoning mythic beasts to fight alongside his men. It’s awesome!

But his carefree attitude soon earns the scorn of a serious competitor who has made it his mission to rewrite history and see Matt and his allies destroyed. To see the version of Rome he loves come to life, Matt must use all his skill to defeat his nemesis and save the empire.

very predictable.

the story goes he's doing good then the world craps on him he then works hard and does good then the world craps on him. That over and over is the book. the narrator was the only saving grace of the book he was to notch.

Loved every minute of it!

Fantastic story, well written and researched.
Clearly the author did his homework on the antique.
The main character is likable and the battle scenes are described very detailed and vividly.
I highly recommend this book to all fans of LitRPG who want more than just endless stats and to all fans of historical Rome.
Can’t wait for book 2!

Just not very good

Lead character is just.. I donno.. Incompetent?

The amount of times he makes the same mistakes is just staggering.

Hell, even when hes in a rush to do something, he still stops to take in the view of a [thing] hes been trying to get to the top of for a long while, and the book tries so hard to make it impressive sounding that I cannot help but think the author genuinely thinks the lead character is good at what he does.

The story is decent, but it often sounds more like the author just wants to share his knowledge of ancient Rome than anything else.

Buy this is if you're in desperate need for something to do.

Voice actor did a good job though.

Trash

So the plot sounds amazing if you read the info about it, but then you hear the story and the guy starts off horribly. Spoiler alert: he has supposedly played a game almost identical to this one but as a frontline viking and yet he gets into this game and acts like he's never swung a sword or fought at all. Then he keeps making mistakes that ANYONE would never make as a gamer but sure let him make every mistake possible. just another typical book about games written by a non gamer. 100/100 would NEVER recommend this book to anyone super cringe and annoying how stupid the MC is.
