𝐈 was glued to my headphones with this story! Watching Lincoln Foxx and Faye Calloway go from enemies to lovers was fascinating. The tension between them had me completely hooked from the first chapter!

𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 tough private investigator Faye reluctantly returns to her hometown of Fiasco, Kentucky, she knows she shouldn't be there, especially after promising Lincoln to stay away. But their chemistry is palpable, creating a complex love story that keeps you wanting more. Faye's boldness and confidence clash with Lincoln's seriousness in a way that's both entertaining and addictive to watch. Those steamy interactions between them were my favorite parts!

𝐀𝐧𝐝 let's not forget about the duet narration by 𝐋𝐞𝐞 𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐮𝐞𝐥𝐬 and 𝐌𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐧 𝐖𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐬. They really brought depth and emotion to the characters' journey. This is the second book of Victoria Wilder’s Bourbon Boy series that follows the Foxx Brothers who they say not to fall for, but you can’t help but do it any ways.

Lincoln Foxx told Faye Calloway to stay gone from Fiasco, Kentucky five years ago. She did just that until an opportunity presented itself to return home under the guise of a Burlesque dancer at Lincoln’s best friend’s speakeasy, Midnight Proof.

Anyone looking for a single-dad romance with suspense will appreciate this one. His love for his daughters is beautiful and its clear that he will do anything for them to ensure that they will always be protected. Lincoln is most definitely the Bourbon nerd of his family, leaning hard on the chemical process of producing bourbon but he is also the muscle that you don’t see coming.

Faye is just a badass! Easily one of my favorite female characters to date as she is whip smart, sexy, and doesn’t take crap from anyone.

The angst and lust is heavy between these two and they soon find themselves giving into the desire that first sparked when Lincoln stumbled upon Faye cleansing herself from the sins she apeared to have committed.

Excellent narration!

I love this series so much and hearing the audio just makes it feel even more real! The narration just made it that much better of a story. Great job!

secrets come to life

Feye has to come back to Fiasco, Kentucky for her next up PI gig but also to dance at the new hot local bar, where she said goodbye to her sister and mom just five years ago thanks to Lincoln and just a little blackmail. This starts out with hate in the form of spicy banter- bickering until the chemistry just gets too hot for them both. This one we get some good twists and turns with the romance suspense underneath the pure spicy romance. Single dad Lincoln is not only a smoke show he is a great dad and his girls, who will win you over plus their dog and highland cow. We get family drama on both sides, regret, secrets and more secrets, and bourbon and more bourbon.

Lee matched up with Lincoln and Megan did with Feye as well. Megan had a smoky voice that matched up with the dancer/ PI she was. I enjoyed the audiobook a lot - kept me engaged with the story and these two matched up really well with the scenes- sassy, suspenseful, and loving perfectly.

Now, let's talk about the narration! This engaging duet features the fantastic talents of Lee Samuels and the phenomenal Megan Wicks. Megan brings Faye to life with a performance that is nothing short of mesmerizing; her sultry rasp perfectly captures the essence of the character—seductive yet completely relatable. Lee, on the other hand, portrays the brooding, irritable single dad, Lincoln, with precision. His smooth, resonant voice adds incredible depth and nuance, breathing life into Linc’s complex personality. Their performances kept me fully immersed, glued to the narrative, and electrified!

Audiobook was great but the story wasn't as captivating

I could not get enough of the first book of the series, but I didn't like this one as much. I don't think the storyline was as suspenseful, nor do I think the spice was as spicy. It was still good! I just liked the first one better.

I was absolutely STOKED to have these two in my ear holes and lemme tell yall….they were somehow EVEN BETTER than I could have dreamt them.

Yall are no strangers to my adoration for the Bourbon Boys and all things Victoria Wilder but THIS AUDIO!? It hit SO DIFFERENT. Listening to Lee Samuels and Megan Wicks duke it out with their top tier banter and out of this world tension!? It was literally too good. I am actually a puddle. When I think I couldn’t love this series more the audio took it to a whole new level.

You’re not going to want to miss Linc and Faye. Guaranteed.


I have truly and genuinely never had an author jump to "favorite" territory so quickly. 3 books/reads in and I am so completely invested in and in love with all things Victoria Wilder. I was absolutely out of my mind excited to be back in Fiasco with another Foxx brother. Book 1 has been one of my favorite reads of the year and book 2 was set up to follow suit. Boy, oh boy, was I wrong. Lincoln and Faye.... BLEW THIS OUT OF THE WATER. I don't believe I have ever been SO OBSESSED with an FMC in my entire life. Don't get me wrong, Victoria had me with the glasses with Lincoln,(there's absolutely nothing hotter) so I already knew I was a goner for him from the jump, but FAYE!?! SHE. IS. EVERYTHING. Take no mess, tougher than nails and literally everything I could ever hope to be and I want to be her when I grow up. Between her and Lincoln, these characters are so prismatic, this book has me actually eating out of the palm of its hand. I couldn't get enough. Oh, and did I mention? It's a single parent romance as well!? ......because YES PLEASE DADDY. So hot. So engaging. Spice is top notch, story is even better. I cannot wait for more from this series and more from this author. One of my top reads of the entire year. UNQUESTIONABLY. Infinite stars. Want to read it for the first time again.

Bourbon catches my attention

I am really glad that I started into this series. Victoria Wilder is a new writer to me and I am going to see her in real life at a signing soon.

I love duet narration and Lee Samuels and Megan Wicks did an awesome job with these characters.

There’s smoky seduction that leaks from the pages of this series and I was captivated by the story.

Hotness overload at its finest. And bourbon boys to boot! Hell yeah!

Steamy & Suspenseful

Bourbon and Secrets is a romantic suspense full of mystery, secrets and twists and turns. Faye and Lincoln brought the banter, the tension and all of the heat. I could not get enough of these two. Add in Lincoln’s two precocious girls and protective family, it’s impossible not to fall in love with these characters and be intrigued by the story.

Megan Wicks and Lee Samuels perform this book in duet narration. Megan portrayed Faye’s sassy and protective nature perfectly. Lee does a great job of portraying the protective single dad Lincoln. These two perfectly fit these characters and brought the to life from the page to your ears.

Review Title & Vibes:   
{POURING OUT THIS SECRET} I needed a sexy single dad romantic suspense and this one DELIVERED. It’s actually the furthest thing from a secret - if you follow my reviews you know this is my favorite trope ever. I love this spin Victoria took with it. It’s hate to love with smoking hot tension.

The first kiss came out of nowhere - Faye and Lincoln were both out of sorts that night. 5 years later and the tension that crackled between them is back in full force. Mixed up with a tangled web of dirty money and horse a racing scandal - they lean on each other and learn to love again.

Things I Loved:
-Faye is a TOTAL boss babe - working her assets with complete confidence.
-Lincoln - give me all the rustic men in black framed glasses - make him a single dad and watch me melt.
-Libby and Lark - I love these tenacious preteens!
-We know who the bad guys are but the bigger picture is a mystery - I LOVE the surprise twist ending.
-The SPICE - yummy! What a way to taste bourbon!

Audio Notes:
{duet} Megan nailed that sassy and smooth female voice, and unsurprisingly Lee slayed the gruff sexy single dad vibes. Together their chemistry was pouring out of my headphones! I highly recommend this audiobook.
