Useful Introduction to Accounting Principles
This audible goes over the ideas carrying the principles of accounting and gives some examples of them in operation. It's not exhaustive, but I did find it a good way to get started understanding something I knew nothing about.

great starting guide
I work in accounting for a small, local business. I've had a few year's experiences now, but there are still some things I'd like to understand more. I liked how the aforementioned audible laid out the expectations with accounting, especially in a manner as not to give false expectations on its appearance.

the accounting of said business is important to us. This author comes across as highly knowledgeable and an expert. He outlines the important aspects of accounting and budgeting.
