Good Basic Book

This book goes over basic structures of businesses. One thing I learned that is so valuable is to keep business and personal financials separate. If you're just starting out, you'll want to read about the different roles accountants play in businesses.

Definitely recommend

Bookkeeping and accounting have been two ideas that I regularly try to resist off.
This step-by-step guide was surprisingly straightforward to follow.
You can tell this author (Greg Shields) loves what he does.

I hate accounting

I hate accounting, and I’m having a really hard time understanding the concepts being taught; however, this is the best book on the topic I’ve heard so far.

I think this is a good book for newer businesses. It helps understand the different aspects of accounting. I guess everyone is on different levels in their understandings of accounting terms.
