Bods Among Men is aimed as a guidebook for reshaping how we think about ourselves in relation to the food we eat, the bodies we move, and the emotional and spiritual travails that consume us in our ongoing physical journey as men. Finally, there is the most essential acknowledgement of all: Reframing our choices so that diet and exercise are no longer a means to an end, but rather an inevitable consequence of life-altering awareness.
By integrating light and dark humor with frank discussion, Bods Among Men is the only non-straight focused guidebook for the body-struggling man, taking body change as seriously as sex, which is of course best when one is free to engage in it authentically and enjoy it fully. I don’t prescribe a one-size-fits-all, science-focused course of action with a hypothetical promise of results. Instead, my goal here is to invite listeners and pending transformers to take a journey beyond the bod, the scale, and the mirror to the heart of the matter: Physical, cognitive, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
