This book was not one I'm accustomed to with these authors. But it was a definite great read!

Something was missing

What made the experience of listening to Beyond the Farthest Star the most enjoyable?

this book had places that I think just dropped the story. I was really disappointed because Brock and Bodie Thoene are some of my all time favorite authors. This story just skipped around in a lot of places and was hard to keep track of the story line.

Great

This was the best novel I have read or listened to in years.
I would recommend it to anyone.

Tedious

Not what I've come to expect from these authors. I suppose that they did their best with an existing, rather trite and tired, made-for-TV movie. The guitar strumming was annoying. And the narrator's choice to end every word ending in "ing" with -in' (somethin' nothin', readin', writin') nearly resulted in my abandoning the book long before finishing it. Why would she have every character talk like that? Because the story is set in Texas?!

Excellent! Pleasantly surprised that author read it so well with different voices. That’s often not the case. Kudos to her.

The dark suspense.

This was the most disturbing, but suspenseful story that definitely held my attention. While the reader did a good job, I could’ve done with a lot less guitar! The ending was beautiful and I even enjoyed the guitar at this point.

A MUST read

Did not expect the twists & layers of truth that speak to us all in some way. Excellent performance & the gentle sound & effect were a great touch. I will be listening again & recommending.
