This is fast becoming my favorite author. I just love the way the characters stay together over a span of time, but keep the same friends,throughout. Off to my next adventure.

Deep Good Story

Wow! What a book! Ms Bliss has done it again! This book is very thought provoking and deep! It moved a slower than usual due to the subject matter however the story and writing is so good I couldn’t put it down! Such a great book and Ms Bliss is a writing ass and I thoroughly enjoyed this book! Great read!

So Real! I loved it!

I laughed, cried, and related on too many levels…. This is a keeper. I am off to find the next book by Bliss or narrated by Dawes… I love her voice. It makes me feel so many emotions.

Intense & Real & Beautiful

As an adult child of an alcoholic father, this beautiful and haunting story hit home - at times being so real I needed to take long breaks and revisit after. A triumph of the human spirit w the support of loved ones is always a compelling story. It’s a fabulous prequel of sorts to the series. Looking forward to the rest 🫶

Well written. Substance abuse flash backs

Enjoyed the story. Spoiler****It brought up old memories of my wife struggling with alcoholism ( she has been sober now and we are expecting!). It was nice to see how her partner choose the relationship when faced with an ultimatum and showed her support in the end. A lot of self discovery on both main characters and felt the realism in the characters development.

If You Come from an Alcoholic Family...

This book might be tough if you come from an alcoholic family. I wanted to shut it off numerous times but didn't, and I wondered if, by making myself listen to this, it was freeing me somehow. Anyway, I made it to the end and I'm glad I did. I know this is a book, but I'm pulling for Cheryl to make it. (Sorry, spoiler alert!)
I understand that the book is also a testament to what true love can do and how deep a person will go to help the one they love. I started to give the book more stars but just couldn't. I'm sorry, Harper.
