Kate and her best friend Rocco are going to be partners in opening the third Pink Bean. Rocco’s aunt is a contractor who will help them redo their new business space. Kate is a former escort for lesbians. Hera is a widow whose partner died a year ago and who can’t see past Kate’s former profession. Great characters and performance. Recommend Series.

Love in the Next Chapter

I totally enjoyed the story of these two women figuring out the next chapter of their lives. Both transitioning from different points, trying to carve out a future. I struggle with the age difference but perhaps that is jealousy. I loved the friendship’s, the importance of communication and even the vulnerability. I felt the emotions at every stage. What a wonderful writer and intoxicating narrator

Another great couple from the series. Harper Bliss is such a great author. Love all her books! Angela Dawe is chef’s kiss as narrator.

This is one of my favorite books so far. Very well written and read. I wish it didn’t end.

This story touches on a very real topic for many women. I went through it with my partner and can relate Very well done.

Hot and Steamy!!

This book deals with the passing of a partner, which I have lived through, so I found myself touched by this very much. Even to the fact of not being intimate prior to their passing. Not because I didn't love her, but because I was dealing with my own crap! She never wavered, just like Sam in this story. I don't want to ruin the book for you by saying too much, but I will say it is absolutely worth a listen!

Wow

I love this series and this book does not disappoint. Sparks fly when Katherine Jones, soon-to-be barista and retired "escort" meets Hera Walker, her best friend and business partner's aunt and the contractor they hire to bring the new Pink Bean to life. It's a poignant exploration of our internal prejudices, where they come from, how they are expressed and how we can walk through them. Hera's journey is inspiring. Katherine is lovely and the supporting cast of characters are a delight. It's also great to see a vibrant, sexually hot woman in her 50s in a romance novel. Well worth the listen.

Emotionally Charged!

Another great one by Harper Bliss. I’m rarely disappointed by her work! I agree with most that it was too short. There was so much more I wanted to explore and learn about Hera! The sex is always hot in her books. An aspect I hope she continues. She writes it so well. But this story was so perfectly emotionally engaging that I felt more drawn to the characters and their stories than to the love scenes. Really great book. Read it straight through!

Love Harper Bliss!

I always enjoy Harper Bliss audiobooks. I know the writing will be well thought out, characters will be likeable, and the sex scenes will be on point. This book was just as great as I expected it to be. I dont want to ruin any surprises from the book, but I'll let you know when this audiobook ended I was in my car and I yelled, "C'mon. Really?!!" wish the book was just about 5 minutes longer :( great narration!!!
