I'm sad that I can't hear this for the first time again! This book is an outpouring of love that paints a complex portrait of american life for migrants across generations.

María the Unbreakable

This book is absolutely amazing. María you're a BAD ASS! This book gives voice to so many of those that have been silenced. It gave a voice to me that like María, struggle with imposter syndrome. A latina who is born in the United States to immigrant parents. A must read for anyone who wants to understand immigration in our country.

This book was full of powerful stories that very few are willing to share. It shows the injustice of the innocent people fighting to have a better life for themselves. It uncovers the disgusting nature of people who use power to hurt women and children. Thank you Maria for sharing your stories, and being fearless woman and narrarator you are..

Loved it and was inspired by many aspects of her life. Thanks for sharing your story Maria and for fighting for your dreams. Her story of life, challenges and takeaways is impactful. The journey is not an easy one but the story it creates is a beautiful one. Just got to remember to think about perspective and sometimes we're lucky to see the lessons in the struggle.

At times heartbreaking to listen to, but always honest and true facts, without sugar coating or excuses for bad behaviors.
