Resumen del Editor

Insanity seems to rule the financial markets and many investors are driven by delusion and anxiety. Could everything you thought you knew about investing be wrong? The Austrian School’s approach provides the needed respite for investors caught in inflationary treadmills.

Conventional investment experts often overlook economic developments, which may become a hazard for mainstream investors. Instead, the Austrian School of Economics has proved itself as an independent approach beyond the interests of politicians and bankers.

The financial system is shaking. This book presents new paths through the shaky grounds between the tectonic plates of inflation and deflation to both private and professional investors.

"The Austrian School’s perception helps us to see long-term patterns and opportunities that today are often hidden. […] For the authors and their important work I hope for the widest possible audience of a bestseller." (Prince Philipp von und zu Liechtenstein, Chairman LGT Group)

Reseñas de la Crítica

"This book is a must-have for every responsible investor!" (Felix W. Zulauf, investor)

"For the first time an extensive compendium has been published in which the theoretical foundations developed by the 'Austrians' have been made useful for the investor's practical needs. The authors develop a remarkable 'Austrian investment philosophy'." (Prof. Guido Hülsmann, University of Angers)

"I am grateful to the authors of this book for not only highlighting the fundamental principles of the Austrian School but also for showing how investors can make practical use of them. " (Dr. Marc Faber, investor)

Sound theory and good advice

This is a great listen, well read by the narrator. The content is very informative, both for beginner investors and professionals.

Well worth the listen!

The first and last parts were my favorite, the middle was a bit dense and admittedly, I only understood parts of it. I do think that all serious-minded investors, actually all people, ought to try to work their way through this book.

I have been an adherent of the Austrian school for about 15 years, and over and over I have seen what amounts to the future being predicted, then the things coming true. It is well worth adding the information in this book to what your brain already has inside it, as your future decisions will likely be better.

Nothing significant

This book doesn’t offer anything in the way of groundbreaking applications of Austrian theory. It’s a decent introduction to Austrian theory and it’s a decent introduction to financial markets and investing. But there’s not much but there’s no particular synergy brought out in this book. A potential reader would probably be much better off reading Mark Spitznagel’s “Dao of Capital” as it gives a much more thorough overview of Austrian economics as well as his application to investing philosophy, in about the same amount of time.
