It's brilliantly not about either bitcoin or fiat!

as with the book's prequel, the bitcoin standard, the title is brilliantly misleading; reading both books in tandem is recommended, the takeout wouldn't necessarily be buying/hording bitcoin, but a paradigm shifting fresh understanding of how the world around us is manipulated, it's effects on us and recommendations on what to do about it.

MUST READ TO BE PREPARED!!

Amazing and very informative look at where we came from and where we are heading economically. Also read The Bitcoin Standard for even more truth.

In depth view of money.

Captivating. Important read even if you don’t care about Bitcoin or cryptocurrency. Would consider this generations sequel to Niall Ferguson’s The Ascent of Money.

It's a great book

I enjoyed it a lot. I am quite familiar with BTC, and yet, have learned a lot. Especially about the shortcomings of the fiat financial system.
Unfortunately Saifedean's narration is often difficult to understand, I hope he won't be recording his books in the future himself

Glue on the puzzle!

This is a great book. It neatly tied together so many pieces of fiat puzzle.

Perfectly Politically Incorrect

Saifedean treads where more need to go in this politically correct world. I couldn’t stop listening- reading it all in one day. It definitely explains the mess we are in, the governments and central planners role in this mess and gives a logical, comprehensive approach to why Bitcoin could likely be our best answer.

An excellent summary of inflationary currency flaws

The author does an excellent job going over the flaws with easy money and it effects on the economy. I don’t know if bitcoin can truly fix these issues, but I hope that it can.

Great book to understand how FIAT system works

The book provides a comprehensive overview of everything you need to know about the FIAT system, and what I appreciated most was how it encourages critical thinking. It allows readers to weigh their options and decide whether they want to remain within the FIAT Standard or begin transitioning to the Bitcoin Standard. However, my main critique is that the book presents Bitcoin as the only viable solution to the flaws of our current system, without sufficiently addressing its potential drawbacks. A more balanced perspective would have made the argument even more compelling.
