Couldn't put it down

So glad this was a box set. great story fantastic characters, great performance. Very enjoyable

Need as better character for the president. She was totally unbelievable. Especially her voice. She came across as stupid.

I really liked this book. it seemed realistic and was easy to believe that it could happen.

Fiction imitating life

Sounds almost exactly what is going on in our country today. Substitute Russians for the Arabs and you have it.

Captivating

This is a great series, young adults as main characters works so well for this genre. These books are engaging and kept me on the edge of my seat.

I tried to like it

Maybe I have read to many of these types of books and have become too picky, but I do not think so. I really tried to give it a chance, but after a few hours of listening I couldn't do it anymore. If this was the only book I would ever have read of this type, what i would have learned right away was
1. Prepping is a complete waste of time. Everything you have WILL be taken from you (over and over again) and you will have nothing, but you will always find what you need eventually.
2. Within 24 hours of a big event, all society will completely collapse. All gangs and bikers will immediately enslave or murder everyone just for the fun of it.
3. All of the Americans with all of their guns will be absent and allow all the violence to happen.
4. If you stand up to the gangs or bikers (like killing one of them that is trying to kill you), they will hunt you to the end of the earth, even though there is no communication, gps, or any way of coordinating a hunt.
5. You will be captured (a lot). I would skip prepping and focus on lock picking, martial arts and escape techniques.
6. You will never kill the arch nemesis (until the end of the book). You will be able to kill everyone else, but he will always get away. This is my biggest pet peeve in these stories. As soon as the nemesis is introduced, you know he is going to die in the end and all in between is wasted fluff.
