Lots of information to get you started!

An Excellent Guide to the Mental Health Industry

My sister has psychosis, depression, and anxiety. It's been difficult to help her because I've had no idea what to expect from the mental health industry. This book changed all that. I now know the difference between a phychiatrist and a psychologist, among many other professionals. I have also learned more about warning signs and how to support those who are struggling. Most of all, I've learned that mental health issues affect everyone and there's no shame in needing your own help (even if you aren't struggling with a diagnosable mental illness).

This is a fantastic book. I would highly recommend everyone read this, even if you don't know anyone who has a mental illness.

Clear and informative

I have been listening to Kati for a couple years now on YouTube and was excited to read her book. This book is great for those open to learning about mental health.

Incredibly informative and useful!

Kati Morton, LMFT, really breaks things down when it comes to mental healthcare and treating illnesses. She briefly gives examples of situations where different people may seek treatment before going in-depth on various certifications and licenses and what they mean, when to seek out a certain one, various types of therapy and how all of this can be valuable to everyone. I highly recommend this book to anyone in the process of trying to answer ANY mental health questions or anyone already in treatment!

I have PTSD, MDD, BPD, GAD. I found this book covers it all

I take 3 antipsychotics medications and have been going to therapy for almost a year, I still found this book extremely helpful and full of new information and ideas. I high recommend buying this audiobook or gifting it to a friend who “hasn’t been themselves lately”.

I just needed a soothing voice to talk to me

I come from youtube. I love Kati's videos. Her videos always made me calm. But every time the videos ended I felt lonely and wanted more. so I purchased her book and listened to it all day. Her voice is so soothing and it makes me calm. While listening I realized that I had a lot of missunderstandings about tharapy. Thanks to her I finally decided to seek out for help and found a wonderfull therapist. I can't thank Kaiti enought for encouraging me to find help. It helped me more than I could imagine. Thank you sooo much Mrs. Kaiti

Easy to listen to.

Loved it. It's everything from the basics of looking for the right therapist for you and making that first appointment to definitions of diagnosis. Kati explains treatment options and self care, discussing what she herself does and what she recommends to clients. very informative.

Excellent guide!

So much useful information for anyone seeking help for themselves or a loved one or just to learn about the many facets of mental health and therapy. Anyone looking for a mental health care provider should definitely read this first! A wealth of information, a great guide, easy to listen to (awesome narration) and understand.
