Cozy and fun listen

I absolutely loved the narrator, she’s fantastic. The story is wonderful found family, slow burn romance, coming of age, story about self love with cosy autumnal vibes.


Bell is your typical late twenties witch trying to balance it all when she unexpectedly finds herself being summoned to the coven in a performance review fashion. When she realizes she’s about to lose her magic, the magic she’s never fully connected with she becomes even more panicked and the rush to Halloween to save her magic is on!

The characters are well developed, easy magic system, and the plot is light hearted. It truly reads like your favorite episode of Gilmore Girls. I can’t wait for the second book.

I could not stop listening

Lucy did such a great job of writing these characters, and Evie has done been amazing in bringing them to life. It is such an enchanting book that I will recommend to all of my friends. I absolutely loved it and cannot wait for more!

The narrator is amazing!

The story is good. It’s predictable, but with some unique elements that make it a worthwhile read. Solid cozy fantasy. The true standout performance, however, is the narrator. Absolutely fantastic narration. I was disappointed to see that she has only narrated a couple other books on Audible.

Just so darn charming.

Lucy Jane Wood has a very sharp, unique voice. Her writing doesn’t sounds like anyone else’s, and that was so REFRESHING. Very excited to see what she does next!

Evie Hargreaves was a perfect choice for this story, and her performance really adds something special. Brilliant, brilliant work!

Cozy Witchy Read

This was a cozy, low stakes, witchy read. It was written and narrated well. A fun story to de-stress to, with a wee bit of romance. A perfect fall read.

This is a slow burn, coming of age story for us thirty something’s who are still waiting for our magical awakening.

Finding Your Own Magic

First thing this narrator is so great! I hope she narrates Lucy's next novels. I think she brought this story to life and honestly I think she made the audiobook more enjoyable than if I had just read the book version especially in the pivotal part of the story at the end. It starts a little slow but stick with it. It is a fun, easy read. Also a great message about making the most of the gifts you have within you. Looking forward to more from this author.

Nostalgia Brought to Life

Absolutely beautiful. This book touches so well on the nostalgia of my teenage past. I love the characters. I love the world. I love the melodic feel of the writing.
