a fun listen

I am always game for this kind of cyberpunk narrative. This is creatively written, and a joy from start to finish. Love the narrator too.

Strong New World

I started this knowing almost nothing about the world. I got hooked fast by the action and the pacing. Dan’s journey from near-death to agent felt gritty and grounded. The “stat, gear, mission” framework worked well in the cyberpunk setting. The narration gave life to both the tense moments and quieter ones.

Hooked

Wow, I was totally hooked on this one! The narration was really fantastic—super clear and easy to listen to. It felt like the voice actor truly got the story. I was so worried about Dan when he was bleeding. Then, seeing him get all the new gear and powers? That was awesome! I couldn't stop listening to see if he'd make it. It’s a great first-in-series book that left me needing the next one!

Holy crap, this was so much fun.

This is the only time I have gotten a free code for an audiobook, and loved it .

Finally, a great cyberpunk LitRPG

I listen to a lot of LitRPG titles, and many of them are categorized as Cyberpunk, but few actually deliver. While military sci-fi is not usually my thing, I liked the way the author laid out the story, including all the skills, weapons, and impressive stats. I was excited to review this audiobook due to its Cyberpunk LitRPG aspects and dystopian feel. The narrator does an excellent job of delivering for both male and female characters. I was immersed almost immediately. I recommend that anyone who likes Cyberpunk, LitRPG, or sci-fi get and binge this book.

Cool cyber punk setting

I haven’t seen much progression fantasy cyber punk. The growth system was interesting and I really enjoyed the world building. The MC was cool and shows a lot of potential even though he isn’t quite there yet. Over all I enjoyed the story. The narration was well done too.

Mission Impossible Greatness

This book has been a great pass timer and loved the mission impossible vibe in the middle and later half of the book. The level up system was easy to understand and there wasn’t many parts that repeated the MC stats which is a blessing for this genre if you didn’t already know. Looking forward to the next book and the rest of the series!

Thrilling from start to end

I thought this book was really thrilling from start to end. It didn’t take long for the book to ramp up and there were lots of twists and turns throughout. It contained all of the elements you would want for this genre.

This book is amazing and grows on you even if you're not a litRPG fan/don't know what that means. In a world in the future where different stakeholders fight for control over territories and citizens get ping ponged in the mess, you have to be smart and keep yourself in the game of life. As a new alpha agent, Dan is zero rank and his humor won't save him but does hep and grows on you!!! His wit extends intelligence that somehow keeps him going. The action doesn't stop and makes this a great listen and ready for what's next.
