Honestly even though I have used Airbnbs in some of my travels, I never imagined them a possibility for me to make an income especially because I don't own much property. I recently acquired a small space in the city that I don't necessarily need but I think would do well as an Airbnb so I wanted to get a book that could help me understand what it entails. What I found the most helpful was the Ten Commandments of a Successful Airbnb. The author covered things such as first impressions to respecting the platform's policies so as a beginner, it was like a quick checklist of things for me to learn and remember, and then all the chapters dove in deeper to give you more actionable steps to take to make sure you get your property listed, marketed and ensure your visitors are happy.

Excellent Resource!

I gained a lot of value from listening to this book, as I have always had an interest in ruining an Airbnb business from seeing other success stories. My issue was I had very little knowledge about the business model. That is until I listened to this book, as It is clear from the content that Donald has the essential experience and success with running an Airbnb business, as he leaves no stone unturned and covers every aspect and detail of the subject.

I enjoyed all of the book, but gained the most insight from the chapters on the comparisons of Airbnb vs Long-Term Rentals and how to prepare and market your property for guests. These are the areas I knew very little about, and I am much more prepared. I also liked how Donald emphasizes the importance of your guests and how you should make their stay as convenient and as pleasant as possible, going as far as adding a personal touch, like greeting them in person. I appreciate that the book teaches that Airbnb should be a long-term business to provide true passive income and guides you through all the dos and don'ts to make that happen. Overall, great book!
