Never a disappointment!

Once again JD Kirk has done it! This book had me twisting and turning to the very end. I cannot wait until the next book. Also, Angus King is a phenomenal narrator!!

Another great Jack Logan mystery

once you start listening to this series, you won't want to stop. Well written, and we'll developed characters you can't help but love. Plus great stories with well solved plots.

Well worth reading

One of the best, I laughed so hard in parts, tears came. Unfortunately I was driving at the time. Good book

F***, enough already!

I have enjoyed this series, but after finishing this book, I’m not sure that I will read anymore. Just about every character uses the F word
frequently and loudly, and it really is just too much. If that’s the way the police routinely speak in Scotland, so be it, but it is just way over the top. What’s the purpose?
The second problem I have with the series is that the main character seems to be morphing into his old boss. Enough already!

Well worth listening to the entire series thus far. Perfect character development, I love stories that continue to grow.

Loved yet another JD Kirk Logan novel

Always a good read to escape into the Scottish Highlands with DI Logan. This was no exception. great narration, crazy twist I would have never in a million years seen coming. JD Kirk has a very warped and yet very entertaining mind. Keep them coming, and I'll keep buying them. As will the rest of us Logan lovers :)

this one for me has been the best yet in terms of twists, turns, "didn't see that coming" and humor. I've listened to it back to back to catch what I missed the first time due to laughter. GREAT JOB!!!

The best yet !

Prior to "Ahead of the Game" I liked "The Last Bloody Straw" most of all.
Both these books have good plots and excellent final twists; and both have sections that made me laugh so hard I nearly choked myself ! :)
Barry is really on a roll: "Ahead of the Game' keeps you saying "Oh, THAT's who did it !" every few chapters. And I do like his talent for little scenes you find out at the end weren't about who you thought they were - really clever.
I don't remember why I chose "A Litter of Bones" to buy: but I can say without a word of exaggeration that Jack Logan, as told to me by the incomparable Angus King, is my favourite character. Also, I like the rest of the team - even Bob Hoon !!! [grin]

Like this series

Took a bit longer to get comfortable with this series than some others. Partly because of the heavy Scottish accent. Also wasn’t sure where it fell on the humorous-silly-serious scale. I have decided I like the bits of humor and even the silly mixed in with the serious.
