get ready

okay this story had me all over the place. first it starts out like you're going full speed down a hill. the emotion in the beginning is just like that then it's like you're climbing the hill and then you go full speed right back down. we had is kind of how your emotions are going to go through this book and yes this is a true Corinne book because you will cry. their narrators did an excellent job bringing the story to life.

Violet Leone left Ember Falls and Everett Finnegan when she went away to college. Maybe she thought they didn't have a future since he was planning to be a MLB player. Eventually she married Dylan Leone, a nice enough guy who wanted to be an accountant - until he changed his mind and became a rather successful actor.

Violet returned to Ember Falls after discovering Dylan's infidelity.

When Everett sees Violet, he knows that nothing has changed for him since she left. She's still the only one he's ever loved. And while at first, they don't know if she'll even stay in Ember Falls longer than the year she's contracted for as a teacher, they both know that they want to spend any possible moment together. But things get complicated when she finds out she's pregnant with her ex's baby.

They have excellent communication skills. Everett is patient and kind, knowing that Violet has insecurities from her upbringing. He is just continually and quietly supportive.

Tear-jerking bonus epilogue - happy tears, I promise.

Healing and Strength from Love

Written and acted/narrated with such skill that I was compelled to yell at the one acting badly, hope for the HEA and chuckle aloud at the light moments!

Refreshing

Love the duet style. Also while I love a good slow burn it was nice these two jumped right in to it and were also honest with each other from the get go. Some other can be a frustrating part of the storyline for me so it was nice to not have so much of that in this book. This whole series has been great, can’t wait for the next one!

I love Corinne Michaels books!! She is my favorite author and I think everyone should read her books!! The performers did an amazing job and I love listening to every word!! I cannot wait for the next book to come out!!
