A gripping descent into the apoc nightmare

Life of the Dead plunges readers into a messy and horrific start to the zombie apocalypse. The pace is relentless, just as you would expect it to be and follows a diverse cast of characters through their unique perspective of the chaos that unravels around them. The narration is top-notch and I am certainly intrigued to continue listening to the rest of the series.

Horror

Wow very well done. Love the horror in this book. It definitely gets you going and very easy to understand and follow the storyline. Excellent narrating and very well written. Overall 5 stars.

Fantastic Story and Narration

I liked this story because it wasn’t just military folks but ordinary ones as well.

Matthew Crow brings any book k that he narrates to life.

Gore, Guts, and Great Storytelling

This was a really great listen—engaging, well-structured, and full of distinct characters that kept things interesting from start to finish. I especially appreciated how easy it was to follow the perspective shifts; the author did a fantastic job making sure you always knew whose head you were in.

There was one particularly vivid scene involving maggots that caught me off guard—I happened to be eating at the time, and let’s just say the timing wasn’t ideal. 🤢 Not the book’s fault, though! Just an oddly timed snack choice on my part.

All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed the story. It had just the right amount of creepy and clever, and the narration really brought everything to life. I’m definitely looking forward to more from this author and narrator!

Great start!

This is a great start to a new zombie apocalypse series. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this book.

Definitely different than other books

Okay so first of all you don’t really know what’s going to happen next. This is definitely a rated R zombie book! I love the detail and the gore, there are a few sexy ish scenes but the way the story flows it’s great. Very detailed, and keeps you interested. Can’t wait to listen to the next one!!!
