Resumen del Editor

Realizing you have a surviving neighbor after the world is overtaken by the undead isn't always a good thing. Unless that neighbor is the grumpy, armed, and retired Green Beret Gilbert Donohue. In that case, finding out you've got a neighbor is a lot like hitting the proverbial jackpot.

Adrian's piecemeal life on campus since "That Day" has been a struggle. Retrieving supplies from local neighborhoods filled with the walking dead has been dangerous for him, but he's stayed alive by being a little smarter than the other survivors, and a lot faster than the roaming, hungry zombies that have overtaken his home town, and the world.

In Alone No More, the second installment in the smash hit series Adrian's Undead Diary, Adrian's life is poised to become even more complicated and dangerous when some familiar faces find their way to ALPA with some less than friendly folks on their tail. For the first time the breadth of Adrian's Apocalypse widens to reveal the death of one of the oldest cities of mankind in one of the most popular of all the AUD short stories: Jerusalem.

Sometimes in the cold of winter, the only thing that can keep you warm is freshly spilled blood. Alone No More is the second entry in the AUD series, and covers Adrian's journal entries from December 3, 2010, through December 27, 2010. Intermingled with his personal diary entries Alone No More also contains five short stories: "One Mistake: The Last Stand of Hall B", "Putting a Name to a Face", "Exodus", "Jerusalem", and "The Chief".

Great series

Foster is the perfect fit for Philbrook's series, the combo brings this world to life (pun intended). Philbrook has a great way of tying the story together through different perspectives. Several chapters had me on the edge of my seat. Ring's agonizing regret for not saving his significant other Cassie is haunting, I can't wait to see how this all comes together.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE THESE BOOKS!

I've read several books in the Zombie Fallout series and have enjoyed them very much. However, I didn't have anxiety about what was going to happen next when I wasn't able to listen. I have a rule and I only listen to audio books in the car or at the gym. I broke my own rules with this series for the first time ever. With A.U.D I couldn't stop. I mean.. I couldn't stop at all..... I listened in bed at night and set my timer... first for 8 minutes... than 15.. than 1/2 an hour... then another half hour.. I couldn't help myself. I had to know what happened next. I had to listen at work the next day. I couldn't stand not knowing. And kids... this book is not really approrpiate for "most" work scenario's.

Chris Philbrook has a way of making you care and feel the same way about the characters in the book that Adrian does. Including Adrian. I'm totally engrossed. I reallize this review doens't tell you about the actual book... but all you really need to know is that these books are worth the credit and then some.

better than book 1

I did enjoy book 1 but did not buy that Adrian was a combat experienced soldier and still do not. He seemed more like a not too bright sort of slacker who did not even try to find his girlfriend and now bitterly regrets it. The journal style was effective but why would he sign his name each time?
Book 2 is much better, less about Adrian and more about other peoples struggles to survive.
Their stories are compelling and well written.
Adrian is still fixated on poop and boners; there is much swearing and graphic violence but no sex I can recall.
The reader is quite good.
I think I have exhausted the best ZA audiobooks on Audible so will give book 3 a try.

Pieces to the Puzzle

In the second book of Adrian's Diary, he fills in some of the gaps from the day it all started to the present. Adrian paints a very good picture of how the world has changed since the outbreak and what he's doing to survive. Unfortunately, it can get a bit repetitive. That's not to say it wasn't interesting because Adrian faces many challenges while scouting for goods. He's smart, he's funny, he's resourceful and logical, he gets hurt and he has nobody to help him as he makes a safe haven for himself. It's so easy to get caught up in the madness with him.

The thing I really like about this series is how real it feels. It definitely has a TWD feel to it. This shit is happening, what are you going to do to survive! I also like that we get little story snippets from other people. Almost every person that Adrian meets is somehow connected to some other part of the story and we get to go back and see it come together. However, I am ready to see Adrian move forward in his story and with the ending of this book we are definitely heading in that direction. Good stuff here! If you're looking for a good zombie book you should definitely check this series out.

Great addition to the series!

I liked book one and immediately purchased the second book. Character is likable and storyline is believable in a zombie world scenario. Starting book 3 shortly!

Best Zombie series ever!

Chris Philbrook is an amazing author. You won't be disappointed by this series. James Foster is my favorite narrator on Audible, hands down.

Now tell me about every pee

What made the experience of listening to Alone No More the most enjoyable?

the story is written in a journaling format but don't let that throw you off, it's more like an ongoing story with the date thrown in every now and then. It's a good zombie Romp and the narration is top notch. The only annoying part is the author has an issue with masturbation. It's like telling me every time the guy has to go pee. ENOUGH already! It does nothing to add to the character or the story and gets, well, boring. If you go on to read additional books; it's still there. I sure hope there's a point to this because it seems like adding words to plump the book. I don't care how much the character does his thing.
