Great Tie-Up

Nothing to say, except be warned that there's a scene with some intense SA sequences. If rape is a trigger, be careful.

I'm not recalling a detective story with
quite this involved a bad guy's revenge. As the ending approached the author's mastery of intricacy
popped right up! Wow! An excellent book. And, Audible has more in this series. And each can stand alone. You will meet the same mesmerizing narrator in each. And I just looked up Zertex Publishing - it is based in the Highlands and it's new. Good grief.
What more can a mystery fan want as winter rolls in?

Just Amazing

Amazing as always, amazing characters. Such details with everything down to how the are dressed to exactly how they are feeling.

Revenge never ends well!

Another fantastic story! DCI Logan and team are still struggling w the death of one of their members, as well as a harrowing case on one of the outlying islands, when they get word that a killer has escaped. This killer, Owen Petrie, was thought to be brain damaged…except he was biding his time. Now he is out for revenge and everyone close to Jack is in danger. This one is another heartbreaker for the team and we are left to wonder if it’s the end of an era. Then Jack changes his mind…can’t wait to see what’s next!

Narrator & Story are a perfect match

Angus King is tremendous! The development of the characters and their voices over the first 6 books is a remarkable compliment to JD Kirk’s intense story telling. 100% hooked on the series!

The Best So Far

I’ve been entranced by this series since I discovered it. Great characters and lots of action, justice with a Scottish accent. This book has to be my favorite so far. I’m looking forward to the next!

Made me laugh, made me cry and made me cringe

This might be my favorite of the DCI Logan series. JD Kirk has the ability to weave unexpected humor into his books in an honest and real way. The storylines are always intriguing and he provides just enough of the characters lives and back story to make you care about them without over shadowing the crime(s) taking place. A Whisper of Sorrows made me laugh out loud, cry and cringe. The narrator, Angus King, delivers Logan exactly how I imagine he would be and brings the rest of the team to life seamlessly. I thought it was great! I hope the rest of the series is coming to Audible soon.

Excellent series

The DCI Jack Logan series are some of the best books I've been able to enjoy. They are serious, humorous and thrillingall rolled into one.

Wow- absolutely fantastic! Non stop action and suspense. Definitely my favorite in the series. The writing is fantastic and the narrator is simply the best and makes this book better in audio than simply reading it. Do not miss out because it is worth every penny.
