Funny and cozy with some battle for fun!

I loved a certain chicken book..... Hopefully you know which series. This series reminds me of that but with a female lead. I hope to find out about another installment soon. The book was just delightful to listen to both because of the nice narrator, as well as the funny, adventurous little story. Overall, this was a wonderful listen and one I am glad to have for those blue days.

Worse than the first...

It is a bit disappointing. The story barely moved because of all the side stories and differing perspectives. I didn't mind it in the first because they weren't particularly long chapters ... but the author did too much. maybe it was just bad compiling but they should have added more for this audiobook. it spends more time with sides than the main story.
I think the main story is also hindered by the MC's inaction. She will stand still and have a conversation while people are getting hurt around her acting like she isn't in any hurry to do anything. It stalls the action and it hurts the flow of the scene.

Cute but Flawed

This remains a cute little series but I wish the author would take a writing class. Hearing the same small stretch of events from five different character perspectives several times gets old fast. If you want to handle multiple points of view, just write in third person like a big boy and be done with it.

Apart from that, the narration was good and the characters were fun. I like these low stakes stories from time to time.

So much fun

This series is my guilty pleasure and the readers do an excellent job bringing it alive.
