Wonderful Audiobook

Loved this age gap between Victoria and Helen, it was quite a gap. Despite the gap the persistent shown by Victoria was very commendable. The meddling also displayed by Helens friends was to say the least was a bit outlandish if not comical. The storyline was well written as usual by Harper Bliss and as usual thoroughly enjoyable to read and downright entertaining. Parts making you want to cry for both women or want too shake some sense into them. But whatever you were feeling it was because the writer had pulled you into the story completely. Great story.

Patients is a Virtue!!

Especially between Victoria and Helen. Great read. Harper Bliss does it again, I am hooked. Can't wait to read another one of her Amazing Books.

A Very Pleasant Romance

I thoroughly enjoyed this story. I never got bored. Surprisingly the ‘English’ was very convincing. The narration was great. It seemed so very much like I was in England.
Very hot sexual scenes.
Different type story by Harper Bliss that I couldn’t pause!

Use a credit you will not regret.

The best of the trilogy

This one was the best of the trilogy, and it can stand by itself. The story flows well, there is humor used by the characters, and the narration was excellent

The Professor and The Student

Helen is a Professor of Literature at Oxford and a supervisor of Doctoral students. She’s also a secret cozy mystery writer. Rory is looking for a supervisor for her research into lesbians in modern literature. From their first meeting there is an attraction. Great performance and story. Fun characters and lots of sexual tension. Recommend.

Interesting age gap academia romance!

I really enjoyed this book. The story is easygoing and pleasant but you still get to explore some of the difficulties an age gap teacher/student relationships presents. Both main characters are intriguing and they have good chemistry. The story has a good pace, not too slow not too fast. A nice light read. The narrator has done a pretty good job bringing it all to life

A fitting end

I normally love Harper's books and loved this one too. Everything was paced fairly well and it was fun to see how everything played out in the end.

Narration was not for me.

I did not finish this book.

I'm a fan of Harper Bliss. The premise of this book is great. A romance with a bit of an age gap, something that I think is a bit of Harper's forte. And while I only got an hour and half into it, the book itself was promising.

But the narration just killed it for me.

English is not my native language, and I'm no linguist.
But I would describe Gabrielle's voice as, medium-thick British, with a bit of a lisp.
My main complaint is the voices she makes for the main characters. Possibly to make them sound more upper-classy, or "posh" (this word sounds silly to me), but they really just come of as exaggerated to me. And when she does them, her lisp just gets so much more worse. Pronunciation is of and every s turns into two or three.
It's a shame, because when she voices some of the side characters, her voice is really clear & pleasant.
I don't think she's a bad narrator, but she simply didn't pull of the voices she did for the main characters.
