such a great story!

absolutely loved it. this book had beautiful character development with a more fast pace set to it. not what I'd consider slow burn by any means. some very interesting twists to it. I can't wait for book 2 and more explanations and reveals to see if my theories are correct

Hang On Until the End - You won’t regret it!

What a HUGE surprise! The back story is clearly going to be important moving into the next book, so for those that get a heavy romance vibe only and are turned off, hang in there. The fantasy portion reveals it self 3/4 way through and will clearly be front and center, as the saga continues.

I devoured the book in one day, listening at 1.5 speed. Sooooo good! What a great cliffhanger! I was not expecting it. I can’t wait for the next book. 👏🏻 💗 I’m looking for more books by this author right now to fill the void until the new release! Sophie Jordan definitely has a new fan!

Full of excitement and surprise. Could not put it down. Waiting for second book to come out.

Loved it but confused

I’m fine with the story being standing a standalone; however it was so quickly over, it was done in two seconds. I’m confused, is this supposed to be a triology

This is my first time reading Jordan’s work and I was not disappointed. Very well written and I loved the multiple POVs. Cannot wait for book 2

Another great story with dragons

I needed a good dragon story after finishing Fourth Wing and waiting for Onyx Storm and this was perfect.

Although not as action packed, I was engaged from beginning to end and now I’m back at needing another good dragon story to fill the void until the sequel releases. I need mooooore of this story asap! The cliffhanger!

An excellent story and a beautiful performance. I binged this one almost in one go and I loved every second of it! Definitely recommend!

A hidden gem

I purchased this on a 2-for-1 sale. I liked the synopsis and the storyline seemed intriguing. I got this as a bonus book for another that I wanted. This book turned out to be fantastic! I can't wait for the sequel. I'll be looking into more books by this author.
The narrators did a superb job! I was fully engaged in the story and felt that they did a great job giving voice to the characters.
All in all, an excellent find. Highly recommend.

A really slow start

The first 2 parts are pretty uneventful. Part 3 was just getting good when the book ended. I'll get the second book of course due to the cliff hanger. Hopefully the second book is a bit more fun to read.

Interesting twist

The narration was great. The story was well written. A few unexpected surprises that made for a great story.
