Love this series!

I have read the first three books of the Parish Orphans of Devon series, and I hope it conitnues! I've loved all three books so far - - each orphan boy is now grown, and the story of their past lives as orphans and how it has affected their lives as men individually, is enthralling. I was especially glad that Alex "returned to the fold" through the love of his wife, and the resulting courage she brought out in him. He was so harsh on himself, not believing himself worthy of forgiveness. I hope that Ms. Matthews will continue this saga with Neville. It would be such an interesting conclusion to the series.

What a wonderful story of redemption, and love. The strength and change of the characters was simply lovely and beautiful!

Third Times is a Charm

As the third in the series, a Convenient Fiction is excellent. The first in the series is so well written, however the second one was a great disappointment. Now this book finishes up stories of the three orphans grown into men. A convenient fiction has the passion and romance (notice I didn’t say graphic details ) better than the other two books. The plot is excellent, like the first in the series. I would say this is a PG 16 however it is clean and full of interesting facts.

The best romance and the sweetest characters

The were really really sweet. I think I would reread it or listen again after sometime.

The characters were fleshed out and their actions weren't confusing as they matched the initial aspirations we saw the characters had. There wasn't even any need of excess sex scenes as the story is enough for us to see their chemistry and see them fall in love.

Interesting take on another orphan

Each book has followed one of each of the orphans thrown together in an orphanage in the first book. In this book they briefly come back together.
