No matter the version STILL GREAT!
Having originally only known of this story though the anime I was overjoyed to see that it had a auditable!
Still a incredibly story no matter what version you go for (maybe not the manga but idk *shrug*), I was surprised oh how much original content that both the anime and the LN had and to be honest I felt like a lot that came from here added to well everything, what really helped me was the Voice actors for this as both were incredible.
This is a very easy recommendation!

This story broke me
As I’m sure many others here did too, I started out with the anime. It’s firmly placed at my favorite anime and/or show/movie of all time. I’ve never been one for reading but the characters, story, and emotions that they brought out of me convinced me that I needed to know more. I’ve never cried from reading a book or listening to an audiobook before this.
The English voice actors for the dubbed anime did a great job in this voiceover of the book.

If you've seen the anime this is such a gem
I absolutely love what Yen Press is doing by having the voice actors of dub voice the actual book. I think here they do a good job switching perspectives and voice actors. Will probably give it a second listen. Can't wait for the rest of the volumes to come out!

The voices fit the character throughout the story and was close enough to the anime.
All the voices they had fit perfectly. it reminded me of the anime and I came here to listen to the whole story. I'm glad I did. The overall story was pretty good.
