I hated this book till it got to the revenge part. it is fantastically written which kept me locked in from the start. The subject matter is heavy but I was looking horror that went beyond what I have grown bored of and this delivered. it's still not what I was looking for but a fun step along the way.

I’ve heard splatter punk has a lot of violence against just women and that put me off of the genre but this is a really good book that favors both genders mutilation/death. It’s a great story about a woman taking back her power and saving the world from horrible men.

Female Revenge Story

This is my first reading/listening to anything by Author Daniel J. Volpe. This book was highly recommended to me many times as I love anything that is horror-revenge.
The narrator was fabulous. Kline brought all characters to life and I will be seeking out books narrated by her in the future.
Volpe's writing in Talia is great. I received a complete visual of everything going on and could often 'smell' the scenes being described, and I was completely engaged through part one. I was feeling everything that all the characters were feeling. Then, part 2 came and I was completely underwhelmed. It felt completely rushed and I did not feel the 'satisfaction' I get at the end of a good Revenge book. I believe my take would be very different and I would love it from start to finish if it were one of my first introductions to the Genre. I highly recommend this book to newbies.
This did not stop me from purchasing Talia 2 though.

A great starter book those new to Extreme Revenge

Finally! It’s been a while since I had a book turn my stomach a bit. The writing was wonderfully bloody and disgusting and the narration was *chefs kiss* great job to both author and narrator!
