Kennedy
Hello, my name is Kennedy, and I’m an addict.
Pills, booze—you name it, I tried it. I wasn’t exactly particular about it. Now, I’m two years sober, in a new country, and looking for a fresh start.
But my noisy, upstairs neighbor is testing the limits of my sobriety. He’s either watching an adult film marathon, harboring a hooker, or performing an exorcism in his flat.
Regardless, I don’t need beer goggles to see that Silas Graves is the finest bloke I’ve ever laid eyes on.
Silas
Hello, my name is Silas, and I’m going blind.
As a struggling actor, I’ve taken a lot of crummy roles. But this is one role I’m not ready to fill.
So, nightly I swipe right or left, because in my bedroom, I never feel blind. The lights are out, and it’s a level playing field. And oh, how I love pretending to be fully sighted.
Honestly, I deserve an Emmy.
But truth be told, all of this has left me feeling nothing but empty.
Maybe it’s time to stop hiding and chase after what I want.
And what I want is the girl downstairs.
Dear Listeners: Take Me Down is a full-length, standalone, enemies to lovers romantic dramedy. LOTS of steam, no cheating and a HEA. Intended for a mature audience

I enjoyed the narrators portrayal of their roles, especially Sean Masters. He's a totally believable radio voice. I don't think I've heard Emily Mount before, but her portrayal of Kennedy was beautiful. I'd love to see more audiobooks produced by this author. Highly recommend!
Unexpected Pleasant Surprise

Two years sober, Kennedy moves to New York to start fresh while she's dealing with an emotional breakup & betrayal and the struggle to stay clean & sober. She's got a very loud & abrasive upstairs neighbor who makes no apologies for his behavior or actions.
Silas is extremely charming but carries a huge chip on his shoulder. After falling away from acting, he dives into radio and has now become the most popular morning talk show host in NY. At first glace, Silas seems to have it together. He's hot & has no trouble getting women but he's spent most of his life hiding the fact that he's been slowly losing his vision which will eventually lead to a total loss of vision. He numbs his feelings with alcohol, women & snarky banter but he's unhappy and honestly lonely.
He & Kennedy cross paths in their apartment building one day. What starts off as a bit of an "irritation" to one another, leads to a very deep & passionate connection between the two. They both have fears, disappointments & emotional wounds that they help each other work through, biggest of all, both navigating life with Silas as a blind man.
Avery brings so much heartfelt emotion to the story of these two but there's also humor and a very real portrayal of grief, disability & recovery. I was completely swept up in the love story between these two. It was sweet & tender, had sizzling chemistry but they also made each other genuinely happy. I whipped through this book in one day and absolutely LOVED it🙌
These two were a bit difficult to like in the beginning, especially Silas but once they get past their fears & begin to open up to each other, I literally melted for them, especially Silas. Oh my gosh! 🫠These two find things in common that deepen their bond, one being their love of music. Even though this story has some pretty heavy issues, Avery balances it out so well with their backstories, humor, other side characters & their growing attraction to one another. I recommend this one to people who want more of a realistic love story that tugs right at your heart.
🎤Let's talk audio: Could there be a more perfect voice besides Sean Masters to voice a radio DJ? NO!!!! OMG! Guys! He was perfection as Silas.👌🏼 I was frothing at the mouth over this guy. His swagger, cocky ways & quiet acts of kindness just melted my little ol' heart. I was so gone for Silas. Sean does such a wonderful job at giving you all the sides of him too, the somewhat cocky playboy, the man "with the morning voice," the scared grown man who finally realizes his vision is gone & a man who finally finds his soulmate, the love of his life. Gah! I really LOVED him in this role. He's so damn swoony you guys! Emily Mount is a brand new narrator to me & she was terrific. Kennedy's character is British & it's literally never hard to listen to that accent. She's extremely vulnerable when talking about her past addiction & her love of playing the cello. These two were just SO great This is a story that will stick with me. I just honestly loved it so much!
Avery, please get the next book into audio soon. I can't wait to listen to book 2 in this series! Don't pass this one up ya'll!
