I read this book as an ARC and now got the extreme pleasure of listening to the ALC. The narrators did an amazing performance. Really love the irish accent and all the emotion put into it. Below is my original review that still stands accept I love the narration even more. Definitely one I will go back and listen to again.
Wow! This book is so freaking fantastic. Mafia romance at its finest. I thought the first book of the series was good this was even better. I was literally glued to every word. The Irish Mafia Boss Kieran buys the Italian Princess Isabella so he can have her give him an heir. These two butt heads but then when the walls crumble they bond in amazing ways. This book has suspense, angst, and tons of spice. Definitely a 5 star must read series, I can not wait for the next book.

In this book, Kieran takes finding a wife into his own hands when he offers the Italian Don money for the hand of his daughter Isabella. Money Kieran hopes he will use to fund a war between the Italian and Russian factions who rule their parts of Astoria which has been divided into three with Kieran running the Irish.
Kieran may have gone into this marriage intending it to be purely a business arrangement to give him an heir and to give him overall control of Astoria but he had yet to get to know Isabella aka Izzy.
Izzy is much younger than Kieran, but she is strong and has plans and ambitions of her own and becoming a mother before she completes her degree is not one of them. Seeing them come together and learn the art of compromise was fun.
Their chemistry is palpable and very, very hot but will chemistry be enough to break down Kieran's walls around his heart? The storyline features action, betrayal, lies and deceit as well as romance. The book can be listened to as a stand-alone but I would urge you to listen to these books in the correct order to fully understand and enjoy how each of the characters who appear in all the books grow and develop.
The narration of this book is wonderfully performed in Duet by Lexi Evans and Tyler Griffin, they become Kieran and Isabella. I read the eBook when it was first released but the performance of these two talented actors lifted this enjoyable story to an even higher level. Tyler Griffin's Irish brogue was very well done.
I can't wait for Riordan's story to be available in audio!

Let me tell you, you need to listen to this book through audio. The amount of alphahole Kieran is just makes things tingle. Holy Moly!, this is the first book I’ve done in this series and now I need to go back and do the rest of this series. Mafia has always been on of my favorite tropes to read. Their story line crossing between Irish and Italian was hot. That was definitely not something Ive read before with an older mafia leader doing an arranged marriage right out the gate when the book starts. These narrators showed up and showed OUT!. Lexi and Tyler did a phenomenal job with bringing their characters to life. I will leave you with this:

A love story about Kieran and Isabella
An Age Gap arranged marriage forced proximity Spicy Mafia Romance,
The Audiobook was an ALC, although the author and narrators were new to me I did enjoy the Audiobook.
Kieran the protagonist is a beautiful six foot 4 Savage Irish King who ends up buying Isabella during a negotiation with her father, the moment he saw Isabella he felt compelled that almost desperately to have Isabella despite his emotional past.
Isabella the FMC is a strong headed female who despite what is thrown her way manages to still keeps her head high although at times she tends to act like a brat just to antagonize Kieran !
She had no choice but to leave the ashes of her former life to become wife and queen of the Savage Head of the Irish Mafia Kieran o’Rourke .
The two have great chemistry together and the scenes are quite HOT Kieran is truly a savage..
But Bella as affectionately called by Kieran was lying to him which could end up costing her everything she didn’t know she wanted .
The brothers mentioned in this story was an added bonus especially when they are together it is fun to hear the banter and brotherly love, sibling banters makes the book a lot more fun.
Only hope there will be a story o about the Brothers .
Really a fast paced spicy Duet , the Narrators were amazingly good especially with the Irish Russian and Italian accents narrated by Tyler Griffen !
The narrators made this story came to life!
Overall a fantastic Audio experience,
Can’t wait for the next series !

I love a mafia romance and very much enjoyed Isabella and Kieran’s chemistry that pulsed from the beginning of their arrqanged union. Dangerous, hard, and demanding Kieran oozes fierce Irish mafia Don from every corner of his being, but I loved the glimpses of soft he had just for Isabella. I loved Isabella’s strong character and their push and pull. The spice was spicin’ in this one! Looking forward to the next book in the series.

Tyler and Lexi were new narrators for me and I thought they enhanced the story and brought Kieran and Isabella to life! Tyler does an Irish brogue which can be hard to pull off. I actually went and pulled other books to see if it was a real accent or not because I thought it was so well done! Lexi was a brilliant Isabella and I enjoyed her sweet and strong voice. I enjoyed this listen and will be looking for more from them in the future!

Each chapter is announced as well as if Kieran and Isabella is going to narrate so you know what to expect and is easy to follow along in the duet narration. The audio recording was crisp and clear.
Tyler delivered on a wonderful accent that really embodied the Irish background.
Lexi was very enjoyable to listen to deliver as Isabella and I personally preferred the delivery at 1.70 speed.
Savage King:
Kieran and Isabella were in for such an unexpected connection that I feel they both deserved the sparks of this marriage. When Kieran was the one to acknowledge the miscommunication between them I was ready to scream that finally we have a husband that can acknowledge where the ball got dropped-age gap perks! He’s perfectly filthy for Bella.
An epic ending that has me ready for book 3.

4.5 stars - Kieran O’Rourke and Isabella (Princess, Izzy) Parisi are over-the-top entertaining and hot! He's a major alphahole. She's a sweet, sheltered mafia princess. Together, their oil and water manages to mix and completely catch fire. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I like that he's upfront with her about expectations, including a lack of expected faithfulness. He also shares his darker desires as they go along, thinking she can never meet his needs. The fact that Izzy surprises him time and again is fantastic.
There are a lot of betrayals from "friends" and family. There are some eww moments as well as violence. Perhaps the hardest being a very, very personal loss. Bottom line, consider checking trigger and content warnings. If you don't care, this 🌶🌶🌶🌶 book just might be a good fit. 🥵
I received an author's copy of the audio book. The narrators, Lexi Evans and Tyler Griffin, are FANTASTIC! I love the accents, especially for the O’Rourkes. Oh, how I love Irish (& British) accents. 🇮🇪
