In Villalargos, love isn’t the goal… It’s the weapon.

Thiago Safra has known that since birth. In a world bound by secrets and fueled by obsession, only one truth matters. Someone always loses.

Zayden Orozco carries more secrets than the man pulling the leash, and in this game, loyalty is a lie and love is the deadliest play of all. Because in Villalargos… someone always ends up offside.

There’s no third outcome—there are only two ways this game can truly end...

When the audio’s so good 🥵 it bumps up the rating. I was excited to experience the story again in audio, and this cast absolutely delivered.

The narrators really brought the characters to life. This is an emotionally heavy story, and the narrators captured the vulnerability, anger, longing, and desperation of the characters without ever feeling overdone.

What really stood out was the push and pull between the two male main characters. They’re constantly at war with themselves over what they are to each other, and that internal conflict came through beautifully in the performances. E. Montoya and Oscar Reyes gave each character a distinct voice and personality, making every heated exchange, vulnerable confession, and quiet moment of uncertainty feel authentic.

I am LOVING this series and the twists we get along the way! I couldn’t wait for Thiago & Zayden’s story after Play Dirty and was eating up the tension between them! I almost felt like I was there with them, trying to figure out what the heck was going on. The audiobook is performed in duet by Niia Drisyk, E. Montoya, & Oscar Reyes - all three of them made this so easy and enjoyable to listen to! And that ending….what am I supposed to do now?!?! Check your TW before reading, but this series is so addicting!

Offside is book 2 in the Villalargos University series by Luna K. Wicked. After reading book 1, Play Dirty, I was ready to dive back into this world and uncover more secrets from these characters.

Offside follows Thiago and Zayden. The tension between these two was thick as honey in Play Dirty, and it was only amplified in Offside now that they are the stars of the story. The level of angst only intensified as the story went on and when these two finally gave into their pull, it was explosive! In typical Luna K. Wicked fashion though, we were left on a cliffhanger and I have more questions now than when I started! She has me absolutely hooked on this series!

Offside is narrated in duet by Oscar Reyes, E. Montoya and Niia Drisyk. I have enjoyed Oscar’s narration time and time again and Offside was no exception. He was fantastic at bringing Thiago to life. This was my first time listening to E. Montoya and Niia Drisyk and I was blown away by their performances. E. Montoya brought Zayden’s broodiness and turmoil to life so well. Niia was captivating bringing Fabiola to life as well as the additional female characters!

First, thank you to BlueNose and Luna K. Wicked for this ALC!

You MUST listen to Play Dirty before you listen to Offside as this picks up and continues the story of Villargos University! This story was fun! I had a great time listening to the narrators bring this story to life. It was fast paced, full of secrets and some of the best spice you've listened to. I highly recommend the audio for this book as it really brings the characters to life.
4 stars for the audio performance!
I was not as connected to this story as i was Play Dirty but if you are someone who likes a dark, MM romance with a sports backdrop and a buuuuuunch of secrets pick this up!

Luna is masterful in her story telling and weaving together a great plot! Not as dark as others by this author but that was totally OK - I liked it! There is a cliffhanger so buckle up and get ready - you will want more!

Dark MM sports with secrets & lies!

holy fudge balls book 2 completely destroyed me and the ending I am so mad she left me on read haha. I need the next book like I need air. And Oscar and Montoya brought Tiago/Zayden to life & made the story that much more razzle dazzling. Uhgggg I need time to come back from this emotion rollercoaster
