It’s official. I have a new favorite Lauren Rowe book.


After reading a few mediocre books, it’s always nice to read one that hits it out of the park. I sometimes tend to blame myself if I get into a reading slump and am not enjoying recently read books. But then… a book like this comes along and reminds me that, yes, I can fall in love with a book again.

I guess it’s kind of like going on a bunch of spark-less dates, then suddenly going on a date with someone with immediate fireworks.

This book was that date.

Like every book I’ve read by LR, I was all in with Tyler and Zooey. I bought their relationship from the start.

LR is quite possibly the best of any romance author I’ve read (and I’ve read a lot) at developing relationships. She has pulled off insta-love (quite a feat), slow burn, and even romance between two people that never met.

Like I mentioned earlier, this was my favorite of all her books that I’ve read so far. I didn’t think any could top Ball Peen Hammer, but my God she did it.

I have to say, this isn’t a book that I’d normally be drawn to, however in a recent livestream chat, she gushed over this book and how it’s the virgin trope that people who don’t like virgin tropes will love… and I happen to be one of those people… and I loved it.

In LR I trust.

I think my MOST fall rite books are the ones narrated by the author. Nobody knows the characters voice and purpose better than their creator. I love Lauren Rowe’s stories! This one was a top 2 for me! It took me right back to when I Gabe up my V-Card and wished it had been to a “Tyler.” The sexual scenes are done tastefully and you feel like it is happening to you. I am just so in love with this book!

Misadventures of a College Girl was a great read by Lauren Rowe. Zooey is a freshman at UCLA who has always been straightlaced. She was hoping to have more fun in college than she had in high school. Before Zooey starts her classes she is hoping to lose her V card. She goes to a party and meets Tyler, a football player that she believes ust wants to have a good time. Neither one are looking for a commiment or a relationship. Neither one can deny the chemistry and pull they have to each ohter. This was another great read by Lauren Rowe. I can't wait to read more by Lauren Rowe.

I really enjoy Laurens books. In fact I like them so much I also enjoy listening to them too. She does s great job on both actions! This story has great pacing with humor and commitment to each characters perspective. I finish her books with a smile on my face and cannot wait until I can read the next one. I hope she writes and reads the next one quickly!

Lauren is a great author and a wonderful voice actor too!

I love football stories, and this one of Tyler and Zoë brightened my day!!

While a freshman at UCLA, Zoë and one thing she wants to leave behind following a house party on campus. Her " V Card."
But not to just anyone. He has to be hotter than hot, a player, and someone who won't get clingy.
Enter Tyler Caldwell. Safety for the UCLA Blue n Gold. The man who doesn't do relationships.
Except.. Tyler didn't know what hit him when Zoë Cartwright - after some in depth conversation - admits she's still a virgin. And she wants to have the Big "O" .. something that has evaded her.
Unbeknownst to Zoë, Tyler is hooked on her. Not love mind you, but definitely list. That is until it turns into something much greater for them both!
Zoë is a Theatre major. Broadway.. here I come to be in the title roll from "Wicked" .. at least that's her dream. A girl who is not only gorgeous, but has phenomenal pipes whenever she sings.

Loved Lauren's writing and great narration!!! Keep 'em coming!!!

This is what a 5 star romance sounds like. All the feels. Great characters who love each other completely. You will laugh and cry and the HEA is perfect. Bravo LR! Loved this one

Loved that Lauren Rowe read for the audio. It is funny and a great love story. A fun spin to Romeo and Juliet too. This is a book not to be missed

I’m going through a Lauren Rowe phase because I freaking love her work. Narration is stellar. The writing is fun. The sex is super hot. The stories are good.

Now sometimes the dialogue is a little immature, but chalk it up to college and the notion that when you’re not studying, you just want to check out of it and just be silly. I enjoy it. Feels a little more realistic.

The story of Zooey and Tyler is cute. Friends to lovers in an unconventional way. Zooey wants to cash in her V card and Tyler wants to navigate that and more. And they really did. They just didn’t know what to do when they lives were set to pull them apart.

My only issue was with the end. It’s a total HEA and we pretty much know how it would happen, but I just felt a little too put together. Still loved the book.
