I have read a lot of dark bromances and I would not really consider this as a super dark romance. maybe if it was a bit longer and had a few more chapters of the blossom of the relationship, the titles, the breaking, and the fighting of being broke. But this was very well written and I enjoyed the book thoroughly. just do not think that this is considered dark for me

Overall I’d rate this 5 stars. Sex throughout the novel. Resistance between characters. Tension. Affection, character growth and Spanking!!

“If you love something let it go, if it returns then you’ll know” this theme is present within the book.

Maine character isn’t really a tortured dark soul. He just happens to like being a Dom. Very lite back story brought in to give reasons as to why they have dark desires.

Mostly based on the two main character’s relationship and their life on the island. Both A Captive set free! (By❤️)

I liked the store line but was having a hard time connecting with the reader. I just wasn't a fan on the voice. Over all the story was very good

Great story that had me hooked from the beginning. I loved Adrian and Nadine and couldn’t wait to find out what happened next. Super hard to put this one down and I didn’t want it to end. Fantastic narrator, he really brought the characters and story to life. I received a free review copy of this audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

Island Captive is not a book I would have usually chosen, but I wanted to step outside of my comfort zone. Holy Moly I am so glad I did. At first I found myself hating Adrian and the way he was treating Nadine. But I totally fell for him!!! This story was sexy as hell. I didn't want it to end. DC Cole did great with narration and making the story really come to life. if you like a dark romance, give this one a try!!
