Jax

It was supposed to be an easy job: keep an eye on Myles until I'm sure he's not a threat to us, then forget he exists and go back to living my life.

But the more I observe him, the more I realize that Myles is unlike anyone I've ever known, and toying with him is just as much fun as watching him. I want things from him I've never wanted before, and the more I watch him, the more I'm sure he wants them too.

He just doesn't want to want them.

Then someone threatens his life, and instead of letting things play out, I step in and help him. That moment changes everything, and I vow to do everything I can to keep him safe and make sure that whoever is after him pays for daring to touch him.

Watching Myles might have started out as a job, but now it's an obsession. He's the only person who's ever made me feel anything, and once I set my sights on him, I'll do whatever it takes to make him mine.

Ready or not, here I come.

Hide and Seek is the second book in a new dark romance series set at an elite, invite-only college, and is a stranger/stalker to lovers story between an introverted hacker and the frat boy who awakens his darker side. You can expect: stalking, strangers to lovers, opposites attract, first times, some forced proximity, hurt/comfort, lots of primal play, mild CNC, outdoor and public fun, a protective MC, morally ambiguous heroes, not-so-secret societies, and lots of spicy times.

this book was incredibly edgy and exciting and even the spicy heats is keeps you on the edge of your saet it's so great! I love the characters so much seme as I did in the first book in this series. this truly climbed into my top five books that I've ever listened to.
my only critique is I'm not a fan of Darcy Stark. this is only the second book that I've listened to that he's narrated because he did the first book in this series, and I wasn't crazy about his narration in that one either. it's not horrible it's just, I don't know I just didn't enjoy it. it didn't ruin the book for me at all, but just lacked something that I can't put my finger on. Nick J Russo was as great as he always is. I think they could have swapped characters though and had Nick do the innocent one and Darcy do the bad guy, but it was still really good. 10 out of 10 on the heat Factor and overall story. loved it!

holy cow! the heat in this one was off the charts!

I liked it but compared to the first book…. the first book was more exciting and had more surprising plot twists. This book really focused more on the developing relationship with Myles and Jax. I felt like there could have been more exciting & shocking parts of their story based on where it was headed but it fizzled out at those exciting parts and left me wondering where the action and excitement was like the first book.
**slight spoiler**
I know it was explained at the end what happened to the (person or persons) who did the wrong to Myles, but it would have been soooo much better describing it in great detail during the action of it rather than just saying oh yeah they paid their price. Like I still have no clue if anyone actually died in the book? Maybe I missed it, but would have been better if it was described in greater detail!
I know there are people who love a whole lotta spice but there’s not a great amount of spice, it felt vanilla compared to the first book. Maybe would give it 🌶️🌶️.
The character development with all the MCs is still one I will continue to listen to, so yeah when the next book comes out I’ll buy it, cause these books are entertaining!
I will say… any book that has Anthony Patamisi as the cover model is gonna be a book I’ll want to listen to! I’m the kind of listener/reader that likes to have a visual of the MC’s and he’s definitely a great pick!

Good 2nd book… first one was better.

The narrator and the story were amazing. However, the quality of the audio wasn’t what the last book was and the sound would randomly drop down to almost nothing for a word or two every few minutes. It was annoying but still glad I finished the book

Good story line
