I have not and will not be disappointed by a Rebecca Rathe novel. I went into this book knowing nothing about and also caring nothing about gymanstics, but I was quickly enthralled with these characters. Weston as a side character is perfection. Honestly, I love that he was supportive from childhood, and that did not go away. The relationship pregression between Wyatt and Niles felt authentic and paced well for me. One thing I loved of this book was seeing trans joy. Niles didn't show onpage any of the struggles from transition because he was lucky to have his mothers support, but I also loved that the focus was on his living his authentic life. I could not have been happier about this book. I wish this were the case for all trans people because they all deserve to live their joy. The duet narration is absolute perfection. This is perfection.

This book is so powerful. It’s a story that now more than ever needs to be told. It was beautifully told and I love that it is giving a much needed voice to the trans community and to the injustices that have been happening. Their love story is truly amazing also.

I absolutely love Rebecca Rathe, she is must read, one-click author for me. When Full Split hit audio I nabbed it. Goodness, I wish I had started it sooner!!!

I knew this story was about a trans male athlete and knew it would have a very powerful political message. What I didn’t expect was to discover me in this book. Especially in a spicy scene.

Niles is from a loving family who supported him and his transition. He knows who he is attracted to and who he loves. Wyatt on the other hand didn’t see Niles as anything other than his son’s best friend. One car ride later and Wyatt is maybe seeing Niles a little differently.

As a trans athlete, Niles faces many obstacles and this part of the story is so well written.

As a younger gay man, Niles faces many challenges also in his pursuit of his best friend’s dad. This part of the story is well written and doesn’t give ick vibes at all!

As a trans man living his best out life, Niles is confident and proud of his body. A little vulnerable when confronting Wyatt before their first steamy scene. This part of the story is so well written and with sensitivity. Not once did I feel like the author was out to teach me but instead just presented their story naturally. With 1st person POV I feel that is so powerful and a sign of a well written love story.

This book seriously changed my life, my outlook, my perception of me. Besides that, it is a beautiful love story.

This is a dual 1st POV duet with Bridget Bordeaux narrating the female characters. It is a standalone in the series. Very highly recommend.

This is a story I didn't know I needed in a way I never would have expected. Niles exudes a level of self-awareness and a kind of confidence I could only dream of. Being an elite athlete puts him in the spotlight, and unfortunately, the light isn't only shining on his amazing athleticism. The way Niles is clear and about who he is should simply be a beautiful story. The way he loves Wyatt and how Wyatt loves him is so pure and heartwarming.
Niles carries his sass and snark button pushing ways into Wyatt's space that leaves no questions. Grab a sandwich because this story is one you won't want to put down.
Listening to this with Sam Stark portraying Niles and Jake Bordeaux as Wyatt was even better than I could have imagined. They really brought to life the full personalities of these characters. The completely spot on delivery of lines gave me all the feels. Having Bridget Bordeaux filling in with representing the fem voices made this feel complete and so well represented.
