Cyrus Porter, the child of a sociopath, burned a man for touching me.
Levinston Cartwright, an heir to billions, used his wealth to stalk me.
Three vastly different, yet dangerous men with one thing in common…

Even though this is a shorter book, I learned so much about a culture I don't know a whole lot about. It brought light to what is happening and how Oz persevered!
This love square (you could say) makes sense... The broken come together no matter what scars you carry, there's someone in the world who will accept you!
Btw Mila.. you've got one fcked up creative mind because I heard somethings in this book I never thought I'd hear 😂
Thank you for making this a duet performance and I sincerely appreciate the TW at the beginning of the book! Honestly wish more people would do that!
Cannot wait to listen to more of your books!
Holy Hell that was a hot listen

I thought I’d be getting pages of depraved sex acts based on the warnings. And yes, they’re in there, but they’re not just thrown in for shock value. There’s so much meaning behind the acts—it’s tied to their trauma, their healing, their bond. This isn’t just filth for filth’s sake. This is four traumatised people trying to navigate life together, with bonds so deep you feel every part of it.
Feral is, indeed, feral. I had to take breaks. And don’t even get me started on Cyrus—he cracked me up so much I nearly burst out laughing in public. When Zeke and Azadeh were having a moment after unwrapping her birthday present and Cyrus jumped in with, “Yes yes... me next!”—I tried my absolute best to keep a straight face in public. Failed.
The narration is phenomenal. This duet performance brought it to life. Samantha Brentmoor?? What a woman. This might be the first time I’ve been this blown away by a female narrator. And James Cassidy? Sir. The things you say, growl, and groan—unreal. I thought I knew what degradation sounded like. I was wrong. Mila Crawford writes degradation the way it’s meant to be done. Never have I ever heard it like this.
One quote that hit me right in the chest:
“A broken heart means you’re dead. Broken hearts don’t bring about suffering, they bring about morbid relief.”
And the ending… omg. Have I ever felt this much for book characters before? There was surprise, shock, happiness, sadness, relief, and pure joy. Tears welled up in my eyes during the final scene. This story—about four broken people finding family in one another—will live in my head for a long, long time. To me, this is a masterpiece.
A MASTERPIECE

I didn’t like how it started, with the constant back and forth with present day and past. But towards the end it was pretty good. The straw warning was definitely not what I expected either. I did however thoroughly enjoy the fact that they gave a glimpse of their future at the end and you get to know how things worked out. This is definitely on the list of Dark/Twisted Romance
Dear. Lordy.
