Ezekiel Summers, the son of a preacher, lost an eye because of me.
Cyrus Porter, the child of a sociopath, burned a man for touching me.
Levinston Cartwright, an heir to billions, used his wealth to stalk me.
Three vastly different, yet dangerous men with one thing in common…

Even though this is a shorter book, I learned so much about a culture I don't know a whole lot about. It brought light to what is happening and how Oz persevered!
This love square (you could say) makes sense... The broken come together no matter what scars you carry, there's someone in the world who will accept you!
Btw Mila.. you've got one fcked up creative mind because I heard somethings in this book I never thought I'd hear 😂
Thank you for making this a duet performance and I sincerely appreciate the TW at the beginning of the book! Honestly wish more people would do that!
Cannot wait to listen to more of your books!
Holy Hell that was a hot listen

This is short but I will say a tad longer than a novella. I love how the author starts it off giving us a glimpse of Azadeh and the life she is living with Zeke, Cyrus, and Lev. Then she takes us to when Zeke and Az first met and the beautiful friendship/relationship formed between them and as a result Cyrus and Lev enter their lives too.
Azadeh is a strong FMC and I thoroughly enjoyed her and what her mission in life is. Then there are the guys...sitting back at home waiting for her return. Zeke is content to wait because he knows she will be back, Cyrus seems more of a go with the flow type and is happy when she is home. Then there is Lev who takes matters into his own hands to get her home and I honestly cannot say I blame him. As Zeke points out, she is comfort for his tortured self.
All three of these men lived through horrific events and Azadeh welcomes them into her heart with open arms. They become an extension of her family. They deserve to finally know the love of family.
Now the narrators....Samantha Brentmoor and J.F. Harding repeatedly shine whenever I listen to them. If their name is attached to an audio I am most likely listening to it. Both were so fitting as Azadeh and Zeke.
Teddy Hamilton had me cracking up so many times as Cyrus. I don't hear Teddy say funny things too very often in the audios I listen to and I could not stop giggling at him and how he portrayed Cyrus. Definitely a comic relief in this dark story.
James Cassidy has a deep voice that is smooth as whiskey. He had an arrogant tone to him which is how I perceived Lev since he is so guarded. Once those walls came down James was able to adjust his tone and still sound so fantastic as Lev.
All four of the narrators played off each other very well in the scenes with all of them and they were aplenty.
Found family is sometimes better for you!

I didn’t like how it started, with the constant back and forth with present day and past. But towards the end it was pretty good. The straw warning was definitely not what I expected either. I did however thoroughly enjoy the fact that they gave a glimpse of their future at the end and you get to know how things worked out. This is definitely on the list of Dark/Twisted Romance
Dear. Lordy.
