For some reason, the first half of the story was just way too much. Too much of the female narrator just panic talking through everything. Too much of Shane just growling through everything. Too much angst when we all clearly know how the story will turn out. Once the middle of the book settled, this was an amazing story. I’ve never wanted to add a 4 star rating to my favorites but I think this one qualifies.

I wanted to rip out my earbuds when the MMC was at his worst, I absolutely despised him! But…he redeemed himself and did it with grace. Thank you Elodie for writing his redemption in that way. I really enjoyed the story and the performance from these incredible voice actors.

Duet Narration

Ahhh!!! What a book! I couldn’t have loved watching these two get their HEA more. From the secrets to the chemistry to the vulnerable moments, this book had me completely hooked! And once again, Shane and Zara did an incredible job bringing two characters I adored to life in such a perfect way.

Watching Brendan get the reality check of his life after showing off his arrogant side was sooo well done. I freaking loved the way Shane brought him to life. He did such an amazing job handling his cocky, “the world revolves around me” attitude, until Marlowe, his total opposite, stumbles into his life and that caretaking side comes out HARDCORE. Elodie did such an incredible job with his character. Like, you kind of want to hate him, but then you witness the way he starts obsessing over the FMC, and suddenly this man goes from cocky and carefree to DOWN BAD for her! Ahhh! I loved it. And the way he falls for her sweet daughter? Gosh. He gave that girl the sweetest pep talks! Zara’s performance for Marlowe blew me away equally as much. Her sweet voice fit Marlowe’s gentle, tender side so well, but hearing Marlowe’s boss B side come out through Zara’s performance was sooo well done. I was HOOKED.

I can’t wait for Sophie and Ethan’s story, especially knowing it’s performed by these two!!

I love the narrators.. the story plot was great, and all the elements of a great story is present. Love this book. Both books and I cannot wait for the other one to come!

So much hype on Facebook I get it I was so excited but it was the typical bad boy billionaire and the desperate heroine I expected so much more. I will give it another try but we’ll see.
