I do love dark & gruesome stories but neither character has any reassuring qualities especially the female character, she constantly puts herself in hostile situations so it's hard to feel any sympathy towards her, plus her mind is even worse than his when it comes to brutality. I do also think that their gore kinks & killing styles are way too different for them to stay together long term, I doubt they can make it pass five years without ultimately killing each other.... this story was definitely a interesting listen even for those with acquired tastes.

Wow! This novella was deliciously disturbing and I loved every second of it. The duet narration was phenomenal. The narrators voices matched the characters perfectly. I normally hate sound effects in audiobooks but the ones in this book were so good and added so much detail to the story.

Because what the f**k did I just read 💀🤯. I love me some Lauren Biel she is the absolute queen of Dark Traumance books. I read the trigger list for this, and never in a million years did I think half of the sh*t that happened in this book would happen 😳
I have read 109 books this year, most being Dark Romance, and when I tell you this book is Black, I absolutely mean it. I have no hard-core triggers (just a spit in the mouth, ick...) When I tell you by the end of this book I was 🤢 I mean it! Did I like the book?? Absolutely because apparently I'm deranged 😅. Am I sitting here thinking about the last unaliving thinking is that even possible because 🫡🫣
If I talked to my therapist about this book, they would check me into a padded room and then proceed to go to their therapist 🙃
This book made me question if I actually may have triggers. That's how fu**ed up it was 😳
Please, please, please, if you read this book, read the triggers like twice... happy reading you filthy animals 😜

Okay this was WILD, OFF KILTER. OKAY, I cannot give anything away. She (likes dead things) and he likes the color red! They get together and do some CRAZY stuff only Lauren’s mind can dream up. The narrators are probably going into witness protection 🤣😳🤮.
