Amazing writing, amazing story. You'll be hooked once you start it. If you enjoy Overlord, this has similar vibes. The world is well thought out but not overexplained. The MC is powerful, but not so strong that there aren't any threats. His power just makes more conflict if anything. It's easy for an isekai to fall into the trap of not having stakes, but there are always stakes in this one and the story is always moving somewhere. 10/10

This book was a clever take on the litRPG genre. I docked it a star because it has explicit content, marked by the author, that isn't additive to the story. The sex scenes are very much 'women written by men'. Also, the author claims the scenes are consensual, but the first scene is a rape. The author doesn't quite grasp what consent is. If you want a heads up, the chapters are marked and they involve tentacles and graphic description.

This is one of the best books I have listened to in a long while. I loved the alternative perspectives, especially from Blue's point of view. I also really liked not knowing about his past. Overall great and I can't wait to enjoy the rest of the series.
