Arming Alexis by Jenn D. Young is a why choose omegaverse romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Logan Anare, Matt Haynes, and Elle Sonali. This is the fifth book in the Underground Omega Syndicate series but can be read as a standalone.

I really enjoyed the relationship that bloomed between Alexis, Miko, Antonio, and Cormac. I liked that we got all of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

Logan, Matt, and Elle did a great job on the narration. They all really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you're looking for an omegaverse romance, why choose romance, or romantic suspense.

I wasn’t paying enough attention when requesting this book, and I’m glad I didn't. This is not my normal trope so I'm still learning about the Omega world. It was a great standalone. Being book five, I was afraid that I'd feel like I was missing something, but that did not happen. It was slow to start, but picked up where I didn’t want to pause the book.The characters were easy to like after getting to know them. An MMF, why choose, HEA story that I enjoyed to the end.

Logan Anare, Matt Haynes, and Elle Sonali were great narrators. They brought the book to life with emotional performances that had it rolling like a movie in my head.

This is the fifth book in the Underground Omega Syndicate series. Each book can be read as standalone book. Alexis has had a hard life. She was an amazing hacker. She would use her skills to rob the rich and give to the poor, like a modern-day Robin Hood. Over the past few years, she has communicated with someone through the dark web. She later learns his name is Meko, and he works with a man from her past. Antonio was her first love. Antonio disappeared from her life without a trace ten years ago. This is a Omegaverse RH. I loved these characters. Elle Sonali, Logan Anare, and Matt Haynes did a fantastic job narrating this book.

I love that this Omegaverse is full of unconventional characters. Robin Hood style hacker Omega who does not need saving. Mobster alphas who not only rely on their strength but their wit and intelligence. Very very passionate MMF scenes with overload of kink thats so well written. Its exciting, sexy and fast paced. Loved it!

awwww I love the ending. this book was really good. love every bit of it. Alexis deserves her happy ever after. I loved all the characters in this book. and the narrators did an amazing job bringing them to life. good job guys

This book was a delight from start-to-finish, easy to sink your claws into, and howl from the mystery, romance, banter, and all the dreamy steam.
I have not read or listened to any other book in the Omegaverse, so I was a tad lost on all the world building, but the author did an excellent job showing the uniqueness of her work with character actions or simple explanations, a nice touch so I could understand without a flood of explanations.
Alexis is such a grounded, strong, and a somewhat sassy-snark lead. I relate to those profoundly!
All the characters were so diverse, but bonded so effortlessly, all engaging and memorable. Especially our three leads and narrators. I felt comfortable around them all instantly, like when you put on yoga pants and your favorite cartoon Loki shirt.
Okay; I can’t be the only one who loves graphic tees, right? Ha!
The hacker and mafia of sorts world was handled well. Important to the story, but didn’t derail focus from the relationships and growth of the characters.
My only teeny tiny complaint was the ending felt a bit rushed. I would have been fine with another 15 pages or 30 minutes of auto to flesh it out. And get full details on the hotness there.
The narrators were fantastic. Mr. Anare is my favorite male audiobook so I was thrilled to see him here, his gift of accidents brilliant as always. Mr. Hayes brought it was the smooth cocky British accent of Miko and smooth, strong, and tender tones of Cormac (who I have to admit is my favorite.) And our leading lady was stellar in every format, bringing Alexis to life from the emotion, teasing, or heated personas of hers.
And yes, this book has lots of spice.
So come on daddies and princesses, if you need a pack, this one is waiting for you with open arms and pasta.

So I have read another in this series of standalones and I enjoyed that one, it wasnt my favorite by that author, I felt it was too rushed, but I didnt connect like I had hoped with this one. Its marketed as an omegaverse but you don’t get really anything from omegaverse romances. You don’t get nesting, scenting, heats, etc. I have listened to other books by this author and I enjoyed them, but not as much this one. I read a lot of omegaverse and if you are going to go there, it’s more than just some Alphas and an Omega.

I enjoyed the 3 different guys. I loved Daddy C best haha, Miko was a hoot, and Antonio to me had good intentions but I didnt connect as much with him. I liked Alexis, she was feisty and wouldn’t back down from a challenge. I also liked her omega submissive tendencies coming out to play too. I think the plot for me felt a little clunky. I am not sure why, I had to keep rewinding the audio and I was lost in a couple scenes and wasnt sure how we got there. I did like the one baddie just wouldn’t go away haha but besides that the story wasnt there for me.

In terms of narration I had high hopes for this one but it also fell short for me. I thought the accents were the biggest issue here. Throughout the book there were multiple instances where the guys accents were not consistent. Sometimes Miko was British sometimes he wasnt. Sometimes Antonio was Italian, sometimes he was Hispanic. And sometimes none of them had accents. I am not sure if it was one narrator in particular but it took me out of the story too many times for me to ignore. I thought the emotions were all there. I liked the way Alexis realized who was behind things, how she started to trust the guys (especially Cormac), how annoyed Antonio was being with his injuries and Miko and Alexis being brats haha, etc.

I might have connected more with this book if I had read it, but this one wasnt for me. I will continue to read/listen to this author though because she has some fabulous series.

This was a good omegaverse. I liked the characters and was invested in the storyline. My only complaint is that it felt rushed. It seemed like everything resolved too quickly. The omega doesn’t go into heat which isn’t required but seemed like it would’ve been a natural progression in the storyline.

All that said this is a book I would listen to again. It would be a great palette cleanser when I need. Comfort read.

The narration is excellent! All of the narrators did a great job.
