Yves —wine aficionado, entrepreneur, author—is a French Baron, whose family, throughout history, have been wine merchants and owners of premium wine estates. Residing in the United States with his wife Marilyn, Baron de Boisredon shares his knowledge of all things wine through his company the Baron of Wine.
Growing up, his summers were spent visiting his grandfather’s estate Chateau Bellegrave in Pauillac, neighbor to such estates as Chateau Latour, Chateau Pichon Longueville, Chateau Pichon Comtesse de Lalande. Yves managed the estate of Chateau Bellegrave for several years.
Choosing to become a wine merchant, he traveled the world, exporting wines from France, Italy, Spain, and Germany for more than a decade. He also worked extensively in the United States, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Denmark, Canada, and Panama.
While working closely with US distributors, he soon recognized that their sales associates were more familiar with spirits than with the complexities of wine. To assist them, he would accompany sales forces throughout the French and Spanish wine regions teaching them about the wines.
As head of the Baron of Wine company, Yves escorts groups to the French wine country on the one of a kind, Ultimate Wine Fantasy Experience, where intimate wine tastings, dinners, and garden parties are hosted by the Baron’s family and friends at their estates.
