Vito R. DeLuca Jr. was born in Everett, Massachusetts, to Joanne P. and Vito R. DeLuca Sr. He is now married and lives with his wife and two beautiful daughters in Pelham, New Hampshire. He has been working in the field of Information Technology for over 30 years and is currently the Director of Information Technology for a large Massachusetts based NGO with hundreds of projects in over 40 countries throughout the world. His first book, "Life According to Vito ...Random Acts of Wisdom from a Very Unlikely Poet," literally wrote itself during a 21 day period of fasting and meditation, which he had undertaken to improve his physical and mental health. To his surprise, during this period, he discovered a passage way into the mind where the mysteries of life are revealed in the stillness of the soul. He also compiled several other short books drawn from this experience. Though "Life According to Vito..." was a distillation of the messages and poems he received during this period, he always wanted to take what he discovered and write an inspirational story to touch the world. Several years later, while driving home after a tough day at work, a storyline hit him. A year and a half later he published "Hero Unaware," a book that is touching the hearts of all who read it.
