From 1986 to 1997, T. J. Smith was employed with the Diocese of Arlington in Virginia, USA, as the Associate Director of Development. In 1997, he relocated to Denver, Colorado, where he presently serves as the Director of Annual Giving for the Archdiocese of Denver. In December 2004, he began authoring the first of three Christian adventure, fantasy novels. "A World Away: the Quest of Dan Clay, Book I" (published in October 2007 by Tate Publishing & Enterprises) "The Harrowing Escape: the Quest of Dan Clay, Book II" (published in February 2009 by Tate Publishing & Enterprises) "The Sinister Realm: the Quest of Dan Clay, Book III" (published in June 2010 by Tate Publishing & Enterprises) Smith is a graduate of Cardinal Newman College, St. Louis, Missouri, (1985), with a Bachelor's Degree in English.
