Dr. Stuart C Silverstein graduated from the State University of New York / Downstate Medical School in 1985 and is a Board Certified Pediatrician. He is currently the Medical Director of Firefly Pediatric Urgent Care in Stamford CT ( Fireflypediatrics.com) . He is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Emergency Medicine at the New York College of Medicine in Valhalla, New York.
Prior to becoming a Pediatrician Stu was a nationally known standup comedian and was featured on World News Tonight and the New York Times. In 2000 he started Medhumor Medical Publications and wrote " Laughing Your Way to Passing the Pediatric Boards ". This study guide was the first of its kind, focusing on high yield information delivered in the same style that he delivered material in comedy clubs. That was the beginning of the " Laughing Your Way to Passing the Boards " series
